It is a large mouth Bass measuring 22” long. Mounted on an 11 ½” x 25” wood panel. There is a brass name plate that says the Bass was caught by Richard Nolan on September 12. 1965 and the Bass weighed in at 8 pounds. Nothing to changing out an outdated brass nameplate for an updated one which would sure be more impressive. I mean Ed Schultz might not do it. But who is going to tell him? The fish is in pretty good shape other than it is dead. There is some minor wear and the upper portion of the tail appears to have been bent creating a light line. But the tail is all firm. One of the bottom fins is a little rolled up so that may have been bumped ... morealso. But hey! What would you look after being stuffed. Largemouth bass mount live skin 22" 8.0 lb James River caught in the main river
Here is a nice main river caught 22" 8.0 lb live skin mounted citation Va. largemouth bass. Caught near the Annabell lee area of the James river. My father was working pilings that run perpendicular to the shore; the technique used to fool this citation is you position your boat at the end of the pilings; throw your bait near shore and retrieve the bait; this particular time he used a Rebel deep running wee-r: through the pilings occasionally striking a piling or two on the retrieve back. As the bait strikes the wood it glances off in an erratic fashion and suspends for a brief moment. That's when this trophy struck and the fight was on.fish lost. It's very effective and these main channel river bass put up a heck of a fight; they are strong. Up for auction is this amazing large mouth bass taxidermy mount in excellent shape. Fish measures 22 1/2" long from the tip of the tail to the tip of lower mouth. Circumference of body. Just behind the gills, measures 16 1/2" Circumference of mouth is approximately 11" The fish is missing an eye. This area was filled in by the taxidermist, and is not noticeable(this side faces the wall. Fish is mounted on a wood plaque, with brass taxidermist ID. Your looking at a scarce taxidermy of a Large Deep Sea Bass caught in 1910 off of the Eastern Coast of Florida weighed 312 Lbs when caught over 100 years old. It was caught by my Great Grandfather. No reproduction. No fake, authentic, it's in great condition for it's age. They used a old reflector for the eye back then, and the back is pieces of wood/crate. Huge Large Mouth Bass Fish Driftwood Skin Mount Taxidermy Lake George NY
For your consideration is this Fantastic Large Mouth Bass Taxidermy Mount. He was caught in Lake George. NY. The fisherman who caught it is moving across country, and his wife said NO to taking his trophy fish with them. He had all of them professionally mounted within the last 5 years, so it's fairly new. This big fish measures 18" and his body is curved. So he probably measured 19-20" before mounting. He has eyes on both sides of the head. He's on a really nice 19" driftwood mount with pieces that extrude out from the main log. There is a metal hanger in place on the back of the wood. I did notice his pectoral fin is bent. And a slight bend in one corner of his tail. This can probably be straightened with something, but I don't know what to use. I just dusted him off a bit and did not use anything to give him ... moreany extra shine. This fish will look great in a den. Camp, office, actually any room of the house. Heres a reall y nice Largemouth in good condition. I bought at a local auction. Being a bass fisherman and looking at its girth I would estimate it in the 7 to 8 lb range. A few minor flakes of paint on a couple of fins that I mention only for accuracy. You only notice if you look for it. As I have to for this add. No other damage. Has a nice hook with spacer for easy hanging and additional depth dimension away from wall.

Real skin Largemouth Bass mount. 19 inches. He caught this in Michigan around 2002 on a tip-up. Very nice condition as seen in photos. This was done by a professional taxidermist. White paint is slightly cracking at bottom of gills(its just the paint)clearly shown in last photo. Easy fix.I didn't even notice it until I took the photos. We heat our home with a wood burning stove most of the year so some items being sold may have a slight sort of campfire smell. We have only had one buyer bring it to our attention all these years. Largemouth Striped Bass Fish Taxidermy Mounted on Drift Wood 23 inches long Nice largemouth Striped Bass fish was caught in Missouri Ozarks. The striped bass is mounted on a piece of old drift wood. The bass from mouth to fin is a little over 23" long. The body is 7" tall( fins not included in this measuring) The top fin has been broken and leans to the side. Partially still there, the bottom back fin has a crack but still secure, the two bottom fins, 1 has a crack, still secure, the other is fine, one of the side fins is cracked back, and under the gills in the center is a crack, even with the damage, it still looks pretty good, the main damage that hurts the looks of this fish is the top fin, don't know much about taxidermy, maybe can be repaired, sold as is, the drift wood is in good condition, most of the skin is in good ... morecondition, the mouth seems to be intact and in good condition, definition to the teeth or what they use as teeth, and the eyes are in good condition.

The Largemouth Bass is shown in his natural habitat entirely executed and painted by hand by the famous American taxidermist. Herman Grieb. This piece is in good condition in its original wood frame. Dimensions: 27 inches high by 43 inches wide and is 7 inches deep. Buffalo-born Herman Grieb(c.1867-1928) was a life-long student of the natural place: the flora. Fauna and landscapes of our region. As a taxidermy artist his production was prodigious and enduring. Eighty years after his death his signed works regularly appear on the natural art and antiques market.

It was professionally mounted, and a good job it was too. It has a hanger in the back and is ready to hang. This a nice bass that any bass fisherman would gladly spend all day trying to catch. Large Mouth Liar Bass 7lb Wall Mount Natural Skin Taxidermy, 19"
Sure I'd tell you the story about how I fought this thing for nearly 10 minutes and that I caught it on a piece of hot dog in the creek behind the house. But I'd be lying! I didn't catch it at all, I'll let you tell the story! This is a pretty nice wall mount if you ask me! In a pretty natural position with good coloring and size. It says on the back of the wooden mount that it was 7lbs and that it was caught in 1991. Don't know where, but I live in Indiana! They do occasionally get that big here if the water's deep enough.in some of the deep reservoirs! Anyway, it's app. 19" really.I'm not lying!
