Old Pal Co. Vintage Fishing bait container
Natural Born Picker Vintage antique Old Pal Co. live bait container with original cardboard basket inside. Container is 7" tall. 4" in width, 6" across and weighs a 1 lb. 2 oz. Everything is still original, used, and as you can see in the detail of the pictures the paint is marginally worn off in certain areas but still shows the Old Pal name on the front lipped side with the red stripes encompassing entirely around the container. The backside still has the painted fish also with small paint chips worn off. On the same side is the company name which is the most worn off painted area. The only rusted area is contained to the strap latches only since they are made of a different type of steel. The plastic shoulder strap is too old to attempt re setting its measurement of length though it is most likely possible I would guess ... moreany collector would want the item for display. The strap has not been cleaned so the discoloration may be permanent or non permanent. The top is still in very usable condition without any damages that would dis-able it from opening. Picture 5 displays the single dent located not on any of the oval container but just the bottom back side on the rim only. The impression stops after the lip of the rim and doesn't cause any problems sitting straight since the dent doesn't create an uneven placement with the surface. This auction is for a unique old FISHERMANS WORMOUT Bottle. Cardboard shipping tube and an article from the Cleveland Press dated 1943 written about the product by the sports editor. All pieces show wear from age& use. The large, round,cardboard cylinder that the glass bottle came in is missing both the top and bottom covers. The glass bottle is empty but has the cap and a great paper label describing the product.
