The guy collected a lot of Nascar and fishing stuff and this is one of the items from that estate. The bait bucket is in really decent shape considering it was used on a regular basis. And it's age. The handle got close to a campfire and melted the plastic, otherwise there really isn't a lot of damage to this bucket. The bottom is not rusted out and I do like the punched star image that appears on the lid of the inner sleeve. The insert still has the styrofoam intact, it's not crumbled or anything. VINTAGE BAIT MINNOW LEECH BUCKET UNKNOWN PAIL METAL GALVANIZED WITH SCREEN WIRE
This is a vintage bait bucket. Not sure what brand it is or exactly what it is supposed to carry. Unlike most old minnow buckets. This one is very shallow on the inside. The bottom is indented approx. 2 1/2" This leaves only approx. 3 1/2" depth for the inner area of bucket. The inner lid on the underside has a bubbled out hollow area so perhaps it floats. Based on the wide lip of the top I don't think this had an outer solid bucket. I've collected minnow buckets for many years and this is the first of it's kind I have seen. The wire mesh surrounding the pail is odd as well. Maybe it is a leech bucket? Surely someone knows what this is. If it doesn't sell I am going to make a light out of it! It is very solid and heavy and nearly rust free. Have a look, maybe you want it.

Vintage Minnow Crayfish Trap Two Piece Galvanized Metal
Great old minnow or crayfish trap. Simply open the two halves. Put some old bread, or other bait in the trap, close it back up with the spring clip, lower into the water, and wait. The minnows are able to swim in the ends to get the bait, but then can't find their way back out of the little hole. This one is in pretty good condition. It is a bit rusted on the solid metal parts, and has a couple small dents. But is still very useable, or just a great decorating or conversation piece. Also great for the vintage fishing collector. Measures about 16" long and about 9" in diameter at the widest point.

The advertising on this bucket is in good condition but is worn on its upper portion where the wooden swing handle rests(see images) Each bucket consists of two separable parts. Styrofoam and a metal swing handle(see images) The Styrofoam enables each of the bait holders to float. The top of the inner portion has a hinged door and latch for loading and retrieving minnows(see images) Each of the minnow buckets has a different unique latch. Fit securely together, detach and the access doors open, close, and latch. Falls City Minnow Bucket Vintage Galvanized Metal Black Lettering
Up for auction is a Falls City Vintage Galvanized Metal Minnow Bucket. 9" tall by 9 1/2" diameter. The writing on the bucket is black and is faded but in photo you can make out Falls City on top and Minnow Bucket on bottom I am pretty sure. It is in used aged condition, complete with no damage.
