This is a vintage metal Townsend Fish Skinner from Des Moines. Iowa. Item has surface tarnish on areas but still functions fine. It has'Townsend Fish Skinner' plate on front and is also impress marked with the same. Item comes as is with no box. Great addition to gear up for the fishing season! It is over 6 inches wide with a 4 1/2" skinning blade and weighs over 1 pound. Please look closely at the pictures. As they accurately depict the condition and are part of the description. Along with Townsend Fish Skinner. Adding in this old vintage metal hook holder. The label is missing, so don't know the maker. There are some very old hooks attached, so if you collect old hooks there may be a sleeper here.

Vintage Townsend Engineering Fish Skinner Scaler Fishing Cleaning Tool LH NICE
An extremely nice old fish skinner made by Townsend Engineering of Des Moines. Iowa. It looks to have been really well cared for and is super clean throughout with no rust evident. The fellow I got this from was a left handed gent and said he had set it up for LH use by removing the thrubolt and reversing it's direction. Looks like you could convert it back to RH use in under a minute. This item is constructed entirely of metal and the finish though maybe not 100% perfect, would still rate an easy 9/10 in my opinion. Here is a townsend fish skinner. It is in pretty good shape. Just a little bit dirty. It would be great for display. I don't know if it works the way it should, but the front piece does turn, and the handles cause it to open and close some. If you've got any questions about it, just ask.
