Brass and steel parts are in good order with no damage just a good antique patina, the belt hook may have been repaired, this is a good vintage solder repair, well executed and the belt hook is sound. The extending action is good and smooth and there is no damage to the brass bar or copper tube. The only thing worth noting is the original turned wooden handle has a crack on two sides. Having recently received instructions from the vendors solicitors to totally clear and sanitise a property prior to it being placed on the market. We have complied with their requests and have completed the task. The house, an older property, contained all the‘residual kelter’ of extremely long habitation and some items of minor value were recovered. The real antiquated, vintage and collectable pieces were found in both of the two outside sheds. A multitude of items, some of indeterminate age and use, had lain undisturbed and to all intents and purposes apparently totally forgotten since the winter of 2010. It appeared that the deceased had declined from making a will or any other written indications as to the disposal of his chattels and more importantly his property.
