OLD FISHING ROD VINTAGE WOOD HANDLE CORK BOBBER CORK FLOATER METAL LURE OLD RODS
Here is a old fishing rod with line. Cork bobber and lure still on it. This old fishing rod is as found and not been cleaned. The fishing rod is about 3 feet 8 1/4 inches long. The old wood handle has a Black Rubber ring on it that I'm not sure what it's for that slides back and forth. The line has a very tiny metal lure on it and a old cork bobber or cork floater on it also. The vintage cork floater is only about 1/2" long by 3/8" diameter with three Red stripes around the cork and a small piece of wood on each end. All the eye ties(4) appear to be made of Brass. One of the eye ties is slightly bent but should bend back fine. Neat old wooden handle rod and pretty sure it's older. Very nice older rod for the collector. Antique Vintage Outdoor Sports Fishing Wood Cork Bobber Braided Line Hook Wt.
Up for sale is a vintage antique hand fishing set recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition, featuring a cork wood bobber, braided line, sinker and hook,wrapped around a board. It was used to fish odd a boat. The only condition issue to discuss is some of the paint is peeling away from the bobber, as see in the photos. The wood measures approximately 8 5/8" x 2 1/8" in size. Vintage Cork Fishing Bobber - Appears To Be Homemade
Very Old Fishing Bobber This old bobber is painted white and appears to be homemade. It is certainly not a polished product. I have another very similar bobber that is part of a hand fishing rig from the same source. The obviously hand carved wooden stopper is removable as shown in the second picture. Which is how it attaches to the line. It is not perfectly round but is approximately 1 1/ 4" in diameter on one end and 1" on the other. It is 1 1/ 4" tall.

Up for auction is a Vintage EXCELSIOR Tackle Box. It measures approx.14 and1/4 wide. 6 and 1/2 deep and 6 and 3/4 inches tall. This box has been painted over the original green(only the outside of the box) It has some surface rust. The Lid and tray hinges still operate smooth. Carrying handle is in very good condition. The two outer fasteners latch and operate smooth. The center locking latch does not move and/or lock. I did not want to force it, in fear of it locking and I don't have the key. It has several vintage lures, line, sinkers, hooks, weights, 2 stringers, wooden bobber, and cork bobbers. Up for auction is an Antique/Vintage Float Bobber/Varnished Cork. 6" 9" W/Dowel, Goes W/Hand Fishing Reel. This Float Bobber looks like it is wooden but it is easily indented, so I believe it is cork and has been varnished. The patina is excellent on this! It measures 6" for the bobber itself, and 9" when including the dowel rod. The dowel rod, however does not look original to me it is in such good condition! It also does not fit tight. I do not know if this is from the shrinking of the cork or if it is not original to piece. I believe this does go with a"Wood Hand fishing spool or reel and float line.
