Vintage Langley Fisherman's De-Liar Miniature Fishing Scale, Model #228
This auction is for a vintage miniature fishing scale. This is the Langley Fisherman's De-Liar scale. Model#228. It measures up to 28 pounds. It was produced in San Diego, California. The device measures approximately 3 1/2” long and 2” wide. The body of the device has a number of abrasions and small scratches. We were able to test it for accuracy up to 10 pounds. It feels like it may get a little stiff toward the uppermost part of the scale. But, let's face it– I'm not pulling in any 28-pound fish on a weekend anytime soon. For sale a vintage Langley Fisherman’s DE-LIAR Model 228 fishing scale and tape measure. It is in very good working condition. There is some wear to the finish on the frontplate. The backside of the tape measure has a few spots in the finish along the first few inches as shown in picture#9, and there is a very slight crimp in the tape measure around 10 inches as shown in picture#11. This is a mint condition black steel case Langley's Fisherman's De-Liar fish scale and tape measure Model#208. With original box. Made in San Diego. California USA. Case measures approximately 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" and has a crackle-type steel finish. 24" tape measure and 8 lb numbered scale. The box does show some wear as you can see by the photos but it is complete. With all tabs. The actual scale is in mint condition and the tape measure portion is recently oiled and rust-free. I ship promptly.

It has a 24 inch slide out ruler. Also included is a vintage wood fisherman’s ruler which is a bit of a joke since the measurements for an inch get smaller and smaller making your fish seem larger(see photo) My Dad decided it was time to clean out the garage.
