Up for auction is an antique/vintage fishing gig that belonged to my dad. My dad used it in the 1930's or 40's so I know it is very old. I'm not sure if it was originally this color or if he repainted it. If he repainted it. It must have been done a very long time ago because it has that great vintage green color. The tines are 3- 4 1/4 inches long(the middle one being 3" and the outer ones 4" to 4 1/2" The handle that it was attached to is long gone but I'm sure it could easily be added. I`m guessing the spear was made in the late 60`s or 70`s because there is a zip code on the label, though I am not sure. There are lots of pictures to show the condition of this cool spear. Original. Overall it is 59 1/2" long. Longest tine is 6 1/2" 7" across tines. The is a little surface rust around the tines, barbs and on end of handle. The weld where the handle and head come together seems to be larger than I have seen on this type of spear, see photo. No chips cracks. Nice clean straight spear in very good condition.
