On top: nothing.This is a single mounted real small mouth bass fish it's a very older piece.The complete piece is attached to a real piece of aged drift wood that is attached to a real piece of oval shaped flat base all the wood has a nice dark patina color on the wood.The fish is a off-white/light green's in color behind the fish is a ... moreartificial plant there is some wear to the fish from age.There is some small crackling and crack's small chip/nick's on the fin's they need to be re-glued this can be done but I'm leaving it as it was bought It has a few scuff/scratch mark's and a few ding/dent's on it but its a used fishing item so it's normal wear.There is light dust on it I did wipe it off with a damp cloth but I did not scrub/rub it because I did not want to damaged the coating on it.This is a solid vintage/antique mounted fishing item and still in nice condition for it's age there is some light wear and some scratch/scuff mark's chip/nick's in the outer coating/paint and but it's normal wear on a used fishing item it's a used item with normal wear it's not new nor perfect it's a used item please look at my picture's. Caught in Jones lake Florida. Real skin mount. It was caught in 1993 and weighed 12.4 lbs. It measures about 26 to 27 inches depending on if you follow the curve of the fish or not. It has been professionally redone once. Some of the fins have some light damage which is almost impossible not to have being a real skin mount.

This is a vintage taxidermy flying fish. Recently purchased at an estate sale. I am unsure of it's age. After doing a bit of research on Google, I believe it is a Fauna Grecae Dactylopterus Vulgaris. It is in good used and vintage condition with a few chipped points and, what appears to be, 2 repaired wings. It measures 12 1/2" long and 16" across. There is a hook on the back for hanging. This beautiful Georgia Largemouth weighed 9 pounds 10 ounces and set the record for Rock Bridge Lake back in May of 1961. See Plaque) I still don't think they've ever caught a fish this big since. This fish is massive. When you purchase this fish you will not only be purchasing a beautiful mantle piece, You will also be purchasing a Lake record holding fish. The fish measured 22.5 inches long with an 11 girth(up and down) I could not measure around the fish. The fish is mounted on a solid piece of oak which holds the fish nicely. This is a wonderful fish for your mancave. It was caught out of a local lake in 1988. It is pristine just look at the photos! I included as many as possible. I will have this fish packed by a professional and shipped to keep it safe for you. He is a beautiful example of a fish. He is mounted on a board with a brass plaque with the man who caught him's name and date. That can be removed without any problem. There is NO damage to his fins, or gill slits, his color is wonderful and you can see the stripes and all the scales. He is an awesome fish. This actually was first fish I caught as a little girl with my grandpa. He helped me reel it in at a dam in Canada so I have a special place in my heart for this kind of collectable. Northern Pike/Taxidermy (Real not fake) 27 3/4"
It is a real fish done by a taxidermist. It is about 27 3/4" long. Looks to have been done 6/82. Written on the back the taxidermists wrote this: I. Stoot. 29 North. 6/82. Stoot is what I believe it says. The 4th letter in Stoot appears to be an"o" The t is also odd. The front still has it's gloss and is in nice shape. No damage) The back is not as glossy and was prepared on that side. It is set up with a hook for easy hanging. It could use a little cleaning/dusting but is fine the way it is. Note: It was a very hard item for me to package. Please be careful when opening the box. I try to describe it as well as I can. If you have any questions. Please ask before bidding.
