9 foot Cortland fly rod with a Okuma Integrity 1 7/8 reel and mountain cork case
Cortland all graphite GRF-1000. This rod is as smooth and accurate as ANY rod I have ever had my hands on. It is a slow action that would be closest to the Superfine by Orvis or the G series by Scott but in my opinion. Smoother and better casting than either one of them. This is a 6/7 weight rod. The rod comes complete with an Okuma integrity 1 7/8 reel with line. It also comes and an Okuma fly six compartment fly box with spring loaded glass lids on each compartment. This rod comes with its own Mountain Cork hard rod case with a compartment for your fly box, extra line or spare reel etc. Perfect shape with very little use. This whole outfit looks pretty new. GEP-ACTIONIZED FLY ROD( 8-&-1/2 ft. LONG) HAS 10 EYES + NORTH SHORE CF3 FLY REEL
This rod and reel set was bought at an auction. And it was pre-owned and used by someone else, I don't fly fish. The rod is a two section rod, splits in the middle, and together it measures about 8 and 1/2 feet long, it has 10 eyelits which includes the tip, and they are all tight, no loose strings. I thought it was a fiberglass rod when I bought it, but a magnet sticks to the entire rod, so its not fiberglass or alluminum. The very end cap of the handle is brass with the number 10213 on it. Then handle end where the reel goes is not metal but rather a marbled colored solid celluloid or something, and it reads: GEP ACTIONIZED ROD. I think the reel can be used Left or Right handed, by just turning the reel around? Then the handle itself is cork, and all in good condition. The reel looks like it was never used, but I can't be sure. ... moreIt reads: NORTH SHORE CF3, and it has no nic's or smudge's anywhere, it is clean. I will mail it in a tube for safe mailing. This auction is for an absolutely gorgeous fly fishing rod and reel combination. A Sage 8'6" 2-piece Graphite III GFL 586 RPLB equipped with a famed pre-1998 Ross Gunnison G-1 reel. Also included in the auction is a fabric covered tube carrying case. It has been at least 40 years since I used a fly rod and have never had the privledge of using one of this quality, so most of the information I am providing came from reading right off the equipment or from on-line research. The rod and reel probably date ... morefrom the 1980s and represent about the best quality that could be had at the time- and would be hard to better even now. The RPLB designation indicates that this was a Sage blank that was custom wrapped. It appears to me that the wrapping was done beautifully. There are virtually no signs of use or wear on this equipment. Everything seems to work as it should and the only cosmetic defect is a little chipping around the area where the two sections of the rod join. If you have any questions about these items. Redington Tempt 8 1/2 ft. Fly Rod + Redington Drift Reel
This auction features a Redington Tempt 8 1/2 ft. 3 weight fly rod and Redington Drift 2/3 fly reel. Both these items have been used less than 6 or 7 times last year. There is no rod tube or reel case with either item. If you are looking for the a light weight combo this is it-weighting in at 6 oz. The reel comes with a spool of 3 wt. line. I bought both fly rod and reel new last year; the reason I am selling is because the tube and case were stolen. I like to travel to my favorite stream with my fly rod tubed and reel cased. Fiberglass Fly Rod 7 1/2' 4-5wt with Pflueger 1774 Reel
This rod was a garage sale find and has been refinished. The original brand was Shakespeare 344. The logo markings were barely visible and removed during the refinishing process. Details of the rod and refinish: The rod is white in color. Spring green wraps, new black stripping guide, new snake guides and tip top, vinyl winding check, new Fenwick style cork grip and new retro-style black aluminum reel seat. The original rod was 8' in length with metal ferrules. During the refinish the rod was shortened to 7 1/2' and metal ferrules replaced with a fiberglass spigot. The rod casts a 4 or 5wt line and has that full-flex. Classic, vintage fiberglass action. The rod has not been fished since the refinish. This is a really fun rod and the new owner will enjoy tremendously! The rod also come with a vintage Pflueger Progress 1774 Reel. The ... morereel shows signs of use.
