Here is a used fly rod combo that I learned to fly fish with. I have 2 and I need to get rid of one to purchase a new. Shorter, small stream rod. It comes with the rod, reel, line& backing, and hard case. It is a 2 piece rod and is 5 weight. I did break the tip of this rod 2 years ago but had a local rod builder put a new tip top on. It was originally 8'6" so the last 3" are gone. I fished with this rod for 2 years after breaking and fixing it and it works well. This combo was originally around $150! Cabelas LSi Fly Rod 6 wt 8'6" fast action excellent with sock and tube.
This is a like new Cabelas LSi(Line Speed Improved) 6 wt 8' 6" fly rod. You can't find in better condition than mine. Looks new. Cork is excellent and all the alignment dots are in tact. This rod is rated as fast and it is. Fastest rod I have ever owned and a blast to cast. I bought it in order to have a rod that would work on our windier days here in Kansas. I am not an expert caster and I have been able to cast this 90' Most of my fishing is with 3 and 4 wt rods with slower action and this is the only rod I cast that far. I have found that I can double haul on this rod and push the cast as hard and fast as I want. It will eat up any thing you put in it without ever making you feel like you over powered the stroke. Why sell it. I like to fish a lot and most of what I do is small local stuff in ponds and some spill ways from ... morethe lake but I can do all that with one of my 4 wt rods that my wife says I have to many of. The 6 wt will get out to the middle of the ponds but then hooking small fish is not as much fun as it is with one of the 4 wt rods. I just don't reach for it that much any more and as soon as i sell it I am sure someone will call and ask me to go to Montana and do some real fishing and I will wish like hell I still had it but for now it just sits around a lot. This combo is the 864-4 style. Meaning it's a 8'6" 4wt 4 piece rod and reel combo. It was fished 4 or 5 times and shows very little signs of use.
