Excellent Sage Vantage 9' 7 wt 4 piece Fly Rod with Loomis Venture 7 Fly Reel
Here is a great outfit for throwing big bugs and heavy streamers for large trout. Smallmouths, carp or other big nasty freshwater fish. We start with a Sage Vantage 7 weight 4 piece rod and add a G Loomis Vantage reel with a premium fly line and backing. The outfit comes with a Sage combo nylon covered tube which allows you to keep the reel attached to the rod(note that the tube says it is for a Sage"Flight" but the rod is a Sage"Venture" This rod has a fighting butt, full wells grip and aluminum reel seat. The rod is outstanding condition and is ready to catch some big ones. Not familiar with the Sage Vantage? Check out this review from the Sweetwater Fly Shop's site. I have cast the old launch rods. Which was the Vantage’s predecessor. I was never very happy casing one of these and wondered even more how difficult ... moreit would be for a newbie to cast. It seemed heavy and required a bit of work to even bend the rod. Sage did their homework in redesigning their entry-level rods. The Vantage has a sweet taper that is delicate enough for the smooth and easy strokes but with plenty enough backbone to turn over a double nymph or dry attractor rig in the wind. This is a go to stick for the hopper dropper rigs that we fish on the Yellowstone, especially for clients who need a little extra help with their cast. The 9 for 6 weighs only 3 and 5/16 oz. and feels good in the hand. It is probably a bit heavy for delicate dry fishing but the 4 or 5 weight would do the trick just fine, at least that’s what I thought casting them on the lawn out back. I have been fishing this rod for 6 months now, still have not sent my other six weight in for repair and have not really missed it. I have a buddy of mine who purchased the 9’ 7 weight as a streamer rod that I did get a chance to fish. He lost his Z Axis overboard in the stone and found himself in need for a backup quick and on the cheap. G.Loomis Xperience 7'-6" 4 Weight Fly Rod w/ Cabelas RLS1 Large Arbor Reel
The rod is a G Loomis 7'6" 4 Xperience. It is a 3 piece rod so it packs down fairly small and is great for backpacking. It comes with a rod sock and tube. The reel is a Cabelas RLS1 large arbor and is spooled with Scientific Anglers Master Series line. Both items are in great shape. I ship Priority Mail the next business day after payment is received. Cableas fly rod 9' 8 wt TLR Salt, Loomis 7 reel, spools and lines
Cabelas TLR Salt 9' 8 weight- used once(still has plastic on rod handle) It is a wonderful rod and casts well. I just decided I wanted another TiCrx. Loomis Adventure 7 fly reel- used. The reel comes with two spools. Covers, backing, 8 WF floating line, 8 WF Intermediate line, and an 8WF sink tip line. The reel is used but well maintained. I just bought two Lamsons and no longer need this reel. Replacing the three lines alone would cost $200 or more. So you are getting a brand new quality rod. A serviceable reel with two extra spools and three high quality lines for $250 plus shipping. This would be an excellent all around, multi species rod for fresh and or salt water.

For auction is one G Loomis 8wt 4 pc 9 ft fly rod and Orvis Large Arbor 9/10 Fly reel with Orvis Wonderline professional spooled with 30 pound backing. This equipment was purchased new but was taken on only one outing. I had a remote silver salmon fly fishing trip to Alaska. The rod and reel never left the case. Weather did us in. I'm listing as used because it was practiced on water. I am a 30 year accomplished fly angler and can assure the buyer that this set up has not been damaged In anyway. Here is a mint custom built G Loomis GLX 7' 3wt 843-3 fly rod. It was built with a cigar grip. Graphite reel seer, PacBay TiCH single foot guides with burgundy wraps with gold trims. I also have a G Loomis Streamdance rock sock and case that I bought for it separately. The Effective Rod Number for the rod measured at 3.27. I believe this rod has a fast action and casts the 4wt line better for me. Included is a mint gold Mirado Evolution F-124 reel loaded with 4wt line(not sure of brand) plus a spare gold spool with 3wt line(no backing)
