Up for auction is a vintage Pflueger Medalist 1498 Akron and Scientific Anglers 9' 5/6 WT Fly Rod. Rod measures in at 9 feet- 5/6 wt. This rod is still in great shape and is clean. The reel is in its original condition as I found it. There are a few scuff/scratch marks on the reel. But nothing major like dents or cracks. I would recomend a paint job, but the reel is soild, make a great clicking noise and has the"Pfoot drag ratchet" attached to the spool(some 1498 reels do not have this) The pictures will help you decide for yourself the condition of the rod. The 1st rod is an HM Graphite HM900-5. 9 foot 5/6 weight. 2 pc. If it isn't brand new I'd be surprised. It is perfect and I'm 99.9% sure it is brand new. The 2nd rod is a an IM6 blank. Likely a Talon, Lamiglas or possibly G Loomis. It is a custom build by a maker named Roy Case. It's a 9 foot 7 weight, 2 pc. Nice build quality and in very good condition. The Reel that comes with the 7 weight is a STH IM Cassette 2 reel and a Cortland WF7 line. Both Rods and the reel come complete with a nice Mountain Cork Double Rod& Reel case to travel with and keep the gear safe when in storage.

Rod's action is medium/fast and if fishing inside of 40 feet it performs better with a 6 weight line. I used this rod as a backup and fished with it very little. I remember one full day using it. But I probably used it a couple of other times. The rod is perfect with the exception the cork is not perfectly clean like a new one. I never filled out the warranty card. I do not think it matters. For $25, TFO ... morewill fix any TFO rod or provide a new one in the event of breakage. While TFO rods are a value priced item. And will never be a SAGE, WINSTON or other high end rod, this one has some uniqueness that might be attractive to someone.

This a beautiful rod and reel combo set-up: Temple Fork Outfitter NXT Left Kreh Series 9 feet 4 piece rod and and Temple Fork Series I reel. The rod is a gorgeous forest green color and is in perfect condition. With no damage to the guides or anything. It also comes with a very sturdy case, featuring hard plastic along the rod holder part and faux-sheepskin cushioning on the reel holder part. The only damage is a few cosmetic scratches on the reel and a some nicks on the butt end of the rod. Neither of which should affect fishing or be very noticeable cosmetically and both of which are shown in the photos above. I bought this last summer.
