HARDY 7" FLY BOX / WHEATLEY RONALDS COMPANION / HARDY CASTS / SALMON FLIES

A NICE COLLECTION OF VINTAGE TACKLE Firstly a Vintage Richard Wheatley of England"Ronalds Companion" showing the full seasons flies for each month and a pouch opposite to take the fly. When purchased the wallet would have had a fly coordinating to the description on the left page. The booklet itself is in very good condition as seen in the pictures. The exterior wallet is in a poor condition, there is a small tear on the top edge of the flap, it can be seen in the pictures. Also included is a Hardy 7" Salmon fly box, this is a very early example with the Made in England stamped on the inside of the box at the bottom of the clip plate. The box has the Hardy Bros Badge on the lid, a rare box in a 7" size. There are some dents and scratches to the box, please bare in mind that it is ... moreold, it is fully functional with no badly sprung clips, they will all hold a fly securely, the box opens and closes ok. There are also the Hardy casts pictured and a"punjab" wire trace from Hardy, the packet is in very poor shape and there are two wire traces so i cannot say if these are the genuine Hardy traces. In the fly box are a number of vintage flies and brand new fulling mill flies on the right hand plate except for the top row which are vintage. A hand made box and wallet. The Pott Trout Fly Display
At auction is a small little enclosed display showing a"Lady Mite" Size 2 fly. This is a hand woven hair fly- Patent Numbers 1.523, 895 and 1,949,582- Made under license of F.B. Pott, Missoula, Montana by Finline Tackle Company- Denver. The fly label is covered by clear plastic and sits on two pieces of cork. All of this sits on a wood bottom that measures 7" x 3 1/2. The only flaws are the"I" in the letter Flies is scraped off and there are two numbers written in pencil showing. Would make a nice little display in your Fly collection.

12 Vntg Worden's Spoon Flys Mounted on Retail Display
Up for auction is a vintage retail display card of 12 Worden's Spoon Flies made by the Yakima Bait Co. Granger WA State. They have nickel blades and come in three colors. There are four of each: black, green and yellow and black and white. The double seal prevented wool moth larvae from eating the feathers over the years. South Bend Bait Co. South Bend, IN Two Older SB Super Duper Fly Lures South Bend made Super Dupers in many sizes. These tiny fly lures are fairly common. But the lure pictured with the dressed, double hook appears to be quite early. If you look close you can see that there are actually two single hooks, set back to back, with feathers added, before being wound with a thin metal wire. This spoon is marked"Super-Duper 8.544 PAGUI" It measures about 7/8" w/o the hooks and line tie. The red& white Super-Duper has gold flitters and a small treble hook. It is slightly larger than the PAGUI. measuring just over 1" long. Both lures are in VG condition. These lures were found with a wide range of vintage flies. Which will also be posted today.
