Pattern and all materials authentic. One of just a few of my final flies before retirement to TEXAS. Perhaps I will be able to continue in the spring of 2014. Maybe.

This Fly was acquired from a man who lived next door to Carrie Stevens in Upper Dam. Maine, a couple hours away from here. They used to sit on the front porch together when the weather was warm and the Flies were being tied. It has been identified and authenticated by Graydon Hilyard(an image of his letter is posted on this listing and the letter comes with the Fly) author of a book about Carrie Stevens, as follows: This yellow and black winged streamer with matching throat. Pattern unknown, was tied by Carrie Stevens of Upper Dam, Maine. It is tied on a Model 1810. Size 4, Allcock hook and is in very good condition. Includes nine large streamer flies and two little ones. Two MAY have been tied by Carrie Stevens. I'm not positive but they have the little tell-tale red areas on the heads. Vintage Trout Salmon Streamer Carrie Stevens Style Rangley & Mooselookmeguntic
This auction is for one fly you see in pic however did include a couple Of the collection so you can see. I am going to list a couple of these nice vintage streamers and that's probably Going to be it. I have some duplicates here and some small dry and wet flies I will list as well. They are all from Maine and about 1930's. I am able to date them from other materials in the collection and original streamers still on the cards from likes of Carrie stevens and bert quimby. These were in the same fly box as both those makers and who know what great tier made this and other larger ones. See pics for condition etc. Lot is for one fly! Trades excepted for nice stuff.

Carrie Stevens Carded Streamer FRS Special And Very Rare Advertisement Piece
Please see the pics and ask any questions. This is the only form of advertisement known to exist for her flies. I have never seen one of the advertisement pieces come up for auction ever and only know of one to exist in a private collection in a museum that was"borrowed" to photograph and include in the Carrie stevens book. I would have preferred to keep the fly. But it came like this so this is how I will sell it. Is in as found condition and do not want to separate the"history" to sell. The cellophane is starting to come apart as you can see and advertisement has some staining as well. I will ship this safe and secure! And yes it pains me to part with this but it's time to let someone else enjoy it.

I picked up this lot of flies in an estate sale. There were lots of carded flies as well which is what I collect. I took them out and now selling the rest. I did keep a few carded streamers in the wallet as there were a Few patterns that were duplicates. Please see pics. There are ton of flies of all sorts. Streamers bucktails wets drys. 4 metal boxes 2 plastic. One is from Taylor and Vadney Albany ny Perrine#69 and#60 and#10 Another made by flybox Plastic orvis case that has only 3 flies left.
