Here is a nice vintage salmon fly. It appears to be in good used condition(see clear picture to decide before bidding) It has fair feather. Twisted gut eye and is on japanned hook. The length is approx 40mm. Rarely seen for sale and highly desirable for the vintage tackle and lure collector. With the correct ribbing of flat silver tinsel and gold twist, but with an interesting variation in that there is a turn of Golden Pheasant breast feather at the shoulder instead of the usual Teal or Widgeon. Benchill size 3/0 vintage gut eye salmon fly. This fly may well be by HARDY'S. As it appears to be tied on one of their patent oval wire hooks, and is very much in their style. The fly probably dates from about 1920. And is in excellent condition without any of the fading so often found of the blue in this classic Tay pattern. Here is a nice scarce vintage salmon fly. It is in good honest unused condition(see clear pictures to decide before bidding) It is a nice large dressed salmon fly with twisted gut eye and on japanned hook which has slight tarnish near the hook barb. It is a nice large size 5/0. Certainly one for the c ollection- Rarely seen for sale. I still have one of the lowest postal structures for the items I sell if you check around. Tight lines.
