Glentana size 8/0 vintage gut eye salmon fly. This is a very good example of the famous Dee pattern. With the correct ribbing of flat silver tinsel and gold twist, but with an interesting variation in that there is a turn of Golden Pheasant breast feather at the shoulder instead of the usual Teal or Widgeon. Benchill size 3/0 vintage gut eye salmon fly. This fly may well be by HARDY'S. As it appears to be tied on one of their patent oval wire hooks, and is very much in their style. The fly probably dates from about 1920. And is in excellent condition without any of the fading so often found of the blue in this classic Tay pattern.
