Wheatley Fly Box Here is an old Wheatley aluminum alloy 12 compartment fly box with a felt drying pad. The tinted windows all open although some need a little encouragement. Box measures about 4 3/4" X 3 1/2" X 7/8" and weighs 4.7 ounces. It is marked with Made In England logo and Regd and Patent numbers on the lip. The box is dinged up but still seals securely and there is some discoloration on the lid where I removed some tape. According to the Wheatley website. Here is a nice vintage fly box. It is in very good clean used condition(see clear picture to decide before bidding) It is a Richard Wheatley cast and fly container and contains an assortment of salmon. Sea trout and trout flies plus some fies to gut and an empty Hardy cast packet. It is a nice example and has the Wheatley stamp on the box. Not often seen for sale and highly desirable for the vintage tackle and lure collector. Postage cost reflects the new Royal Mail price structure for this size of item to be posted. A NICE SCARCE VINTAGE LOT OF ALLOY FLY TINS, CAST CONTAINER, TOKOZ AND WHEATLEY
Here is a nice scarce vintage group of fly containers. They are good used condition some better than others(see clear pictures to decide before bidding) There is a nice Wheatley leafed fly box with some scuffing on the front and the leaf knob missing but otherwise fine. There is then an unusual Tokoz stamped fly and lure container. A bit worn but still fully functional. There is then a Whealtley Cast and fly container, slightly worn and with some oxidising and with a number of flies. Finally another Wheatley earated box which is clean inside and pretty good but ever so slightly mis-shapen so does not clip together hard. C ertainly ones for the collection- rarely seen for sale. I still have one of the lowest postal structures for the items I sell if you check around. Tight lines.
