1923 Vintage Fly Fishing K&L"Common Sense" Wet and Dry Fly Book. This very old Flybook has been handed down to me. It contains 100 assorted Wet& Dry Flys. This thing is old.I have no use for it. I believe the value may be more than I think. The book is 6" x 4" x 1.5" when closed. There is a base Tin container& 4 Fly pages. Posted with On Jun-07-13 at 11:47:27 PDT. Seller added the following information: The fly-book also contains original lead line. That apparently was used to weight the fly line. As this vintage kit is 80 years old, someone knowledgeable in fly's can perhaps identify the person who produced the Fly's or the brand as I have no knowledge. I did see one of these sold for considerable money in the past and i don't have any clear value other than what I have been told.

I cannot tell the makers of the flies but it may come from old Michigan companies. From what I can see there are wolly buggers. Streamers, dry flies, wet flies and a popper. Leather case is in good shape considering age- shows some wear around the edges with a tear near the left snap and corners of the cover. The thread on the right side back pocket has separated. See pics for condition. Features a 12 bay metal snap case, six flapped compartments. A center cloth compartment and a back pocket all containing flies. Vintage Fly Fishing Lot~Wet/Dry Flies~1950's-60's~100+
Vintage Lot of 100+ Wet/Dry Flies. These flies were handmade by a good friend of my uncles. Between 1952 and 1972. He was a professional fisherman who traveled and fished virtually every hotspot in the U.S. as well as abroad. He was also a guide who worked out of the Springfield/Branson Missouri area for a number of years. Many types and sizes are represented in the lot and from what I can tell, none have been used. This would make a fine lot for use or an excellent grouping for display. Lot will be shipped, loosely packed in a small plastic container. We also have a huge lot of vintage fly tying materials from his estate that we might be listing in the future.
