Very fine vintage salmon or sea-trout fishing fly: "Thunder and Lightning":
This is a pretty example of a classic salmon or sea-trout fly"Thunder and Lightning" with wings formed from brown feathers. The throat with a red-tipped hackle and embellished by a a apir of jungle cock eyed hackles; the body is wound with black silk held by silver wire then yellow silk; the tail tuft is yellow and red; the eye end of the fly is sealed with black varnish. The hook measures 30 mm from the eye to the apex of the bend. Although I have marked this as"used" This appears to have never been used. This will be sent out between sheets of thin cardboard in a standard envelope. Please note that I am listing other vintage salmon flies this week and that.
