This is a box of one dozen. Size four Badger Hair Hackle-Yellow hand woven hair flies. Made under license of F.B. Pott. Missoula, Montana by Finline Tackle Company- Denver. Flies are new but paper display is yellowing. B ox is scuffed/stained and shows wear but is still in very good condition. MOST OF WHAT WE HAVE IS USED AND GENERALLY VINTAGE IT COMES FROM STORAGE AUCTIONS AND ESTATE SALES. WE TRY TO TAKE THE BEST PICTURES POSSIBLE AND DESCRIBE EVERY DETAIL. WE DO A LITTLE LIGHT CLEANING. Lot of two old F B POTT Missoula Montana Lady Mite Flies on original cards. Fyi. Mr FB Pott was considered the father of North American Fly Tying by many as his attention to detail was exceptional. This pair is the hard to find size#12 Lady Mite flies. Both cards are good to excellent with one showing a bit more color fading although both would be suitable for adding to any collection. Based on patent dates I believe these are both from the early 1930's. Will be carefully packaged to avoid damaging fly integrity. See pictures! Thanks for looking!

I have a great F. B. Pott hand woven hair fly collection. 12 flies. These are the Missoula company flies(which are more collectable than the other version) there are 1 dozen flies on cards. Maggot" fly model. With a couple different color variations(see pictures) There are 6 big cards with perforation in the middle to split into 2 separate cards each with one fly. There is a very unique background on these antique woven flies. Fly collectors suggest that these specific carded flies had the hair hackles trimmed and the"trout" stamped out on the cards for a possible custom order. The fly cards were stored in a cardboard box. Which I believe is the original container they were sold in. I bought this collection in Missoula. MT. A celebrated fly fisherman and Montana conservationist who cherished the Big Hole River and successfully fought construction of a dam there, has died at the age of 102.
