Garcia Mitchell 308 Spinning Reels - Lot of 2 - Very Collectible
Up for auction is this lot of 2 Garcia Mitchell 308 Spinning Reels. Reel#1. On the right pic 1 and pic 5 works as it should, strong bail spring, BUT IT IS NOISY. There is a bad part/gear inside that makes a clacking sound. It has some boat rash but is in fairly good shape. It has a shallow spool. The number on the bottom of the reel seat looks like 820875, but it is faint and I can't be sure. Reel#2. On the left pic 1 and pic 6 is much quieter but is has a broken bail spring and the handle will not fold up, it is frozen open. It has quite a bit of boat rash on the body, although the spool housing is good. It has a deep spool. The number on the bottom of the reel seat is 689721. 2 Vintage Garcia Mitchell 308 spinning reels. Both have very close serial numbers which show they are both Second version 308 reels.442XXX and 445XXX. They both are in excellent working condition with strong bails/springs and xlint working anti-reverse with smooth clickers. No rust or corrosion. There is some edge wear and paint wear on the rotor but for the age of the reels they have less than than average wear. The reel with serial number 442XXX has had the edges on the foot rimmed to fit a rod. Who ever trimmed the foot did a very professional job. The reel with serial number 445XXX has not had the foot trimmed. Both reels are very clean and have been well maintained. Add these reels to your collection or add your line and fish with them. Vintage Garcia Mitchell 308 fishing reel *Original box *2 manuals *spare spool
Up for sale is a vintage Garcia Mitchell 308 spinning reel. The reel comes with the original box. 2 manuals and a unused/new extra spool. The reel itself is in excellent condition mechanically and is ready to fish. Cosmetically it is in very good condition as well. It is clean inside and out and has little to no boat rash. There are a few scuffs here and there but nothing major. I can make out all but one of the#s on the foot. Here is the one's I can make out: D0?5203. The" looks like either a 5 or 6. The#s are hard to read, not because of wear but because the stamping looks light and slightly off. The box is also in very good condition with very minor scuffs here and there. It is also missing the yellow insert. The spare spool has never been used, still has the original wrapping and is in brand new condition. The smaller manual ... moreis in excellent condition, while the larger(pinkish) manual has some type of markings on the back. Both are fully intact. Please see all pics. Overall this is an awesome reel in excellent condition. It would be great for a collector, or a fisherman who likes to use the reliable old style gear.
