This reel functions very well. It turns very freely. The bail closes and the clicker/anti-reverse mechanism works fine as does the drag. Except for the dust it's very clean and doesn't look to me like it's seen much use. Some of the black paint is worn off on the edges.

Vintage Dam Quick 220 Spinning Fishing Reel West Germany
Up for bid is a Vintage Dam Quick 220 Spinning Fishing Reel that says Made in West Germany on the bottom of the reel foot. Mechanically. It is in nice working condition with the only thing I can find that might be wrong is that it sounds like the spool slightly touches the side of the housing about every couple of turns. This is very slight and you probably would not notice it except for the slight“rubbing” sound. Reeling mechanism is nice, but turns just slightly harder than when like new(no catches, probably just needs some gear lubrication) Appearance is not the greatest as it is missing some paint, mostly on the rotating head as you can see and the drag spool knob has faded and lost some of its dark red color. Estate found and offered for the serious collector amusement. So whether you fish or bid have fun with this great vintage fishing reel! This vintage reel reminds me of one my adapted dad bought at the Army PX in West Germany in 1970, but I'm inclined to believe it might be a couple of decades older. The body sports the"Quick FINESSA" name on one side and the jumping fish logo on the other. Hardware looks to be a mix of Chrome and stainless and the real also features the original crinkle finish paint and black Bakelite knob. The crank housing cover plate is marked"DAM" Western Berlin" and looks like the reel can be made reversible by swapping the plates from side to side. The under-side bottom of the T-mount is marked"MADE IN" WEST GERMANY" This is a uniquely made reel that has the maroon drag adjustment ... moreknob on the end of the reel spool. And around the spool face is embossed the numbers 1-12 for precision tensioning of the spool. There is a lever to select CW and CCW ratchet of silent free turning. This is a great reel in great looking condition that seems to be all complete and operates smoothly.

You are bidding on a D.A.M. Quick Finessa 280 spinning reel. This became Quick model 330. This reel has"Quick Finessa" marked on one side and" Made In West Germany" on the bottom of the foot. It is mint with 2 extra spools. Box, and inserts. There is a guarantee card from South Bend(it has"Reel Model Quick 330 formerly Finessa No. 280" and a card advertising the tungsten carbide line roller on one side and ball bearing on the main drive shaft on the other side of the card. The reel can be for left or right handed. The spools are deep for large line capacity. The crank arm folds for easy storage. The interior cardboard is excellent. The exterior top has a store sticker on it, is worn on the corners, and has a very minor piece missing along the side. The piece does not include any of the graphics. The number 330 ... morehas been written on two of the sides. The box has both English and German on it. All other items are excellent. This reel is very smooth in excellent working condition. You should use the pictures to help determine the condition, color and hardware. More pictures can be emailed upon request. I recently bought a very large collection of tackle boxes. Vintage Dam Quick 550 Salt Water Spinning Fishing Reel - West Germany
This is a Vintage Dam Quick 550 Ocean Spinning Fishing Reel that on the bottom of the reel foot says Made in West Germany. Appearance shows very well for the vintage with minimal marks and dirt stains as you can see. The reel does have a mechanical issue with the bail mechanism in someway. When the bail is in the position to retrieve line. It can be pushed down farther than normal to where the bail frame will almost touch the foot arm of the reel. It trips to the cast release position and will un-trip to the normal retrieve position when turning the handle, it is just that you can push the bail farther down than intended from its normal retrieve position(please notice first two pics to notice the two positions of the bail) When the spool is in its upmost position, the bail will slight rub agains the top of the spool slightly interfering with ... morethe bail tripping properly. I believe this is due to the bail positioning as mentioned. ALL other mechanical functions work properly as intended to the best that I can tell. You will notice that the back part of the reel foot is missing a small segment for holding it to the rods reel clamp, but there is plenty of reel foot for attaching the reel to the rods reel clamps, so this has no affect on anything other than appearance. Dam Quick 330 Spinning Reel Vintage Collectable West Germany Fishing
This is a great reel. If you look at the red paint dot inside the spool housing you will see it has hardly been used. The spool is 285 replacement spool not original to this reel however it is in really good condition. The button does need oiled so it will unstick. The grease in the reel is dry and it needs serviced but it is in great condition. A little paint is gone but mostly just dusty. If you are not 100% satisfied I do except returns.
