1964 PENN Spinfisher 710 Spinning Reel W/ BOX. Original Instructions, parts list and Tools! This is a universal spinning reel for salt and fresh water fishing. The box and reel are in very good shape for their age. The reel functions as it should. The instructions/ parts list brochure is in great shape. It shows the date 12-64 on the bottom right hand corner of each page. There are 3 areas that have been touched up on the reel with somewhat matching green paint. It's not perfect but it was a good effort. in my opinion) It has some nicks from age. Please see the pictures. I'll do my best to show all the areas. Please pay within 2 days. Vintage PENN Spinfisher 710 Spin Fishing Reel Made in USA You are bidding on a PENN 710 Spinfisher Spinning Spin Fishing Reel. Its in V ery Good Plus Cosmetic and Excellent Functional Shape. Looks very lightly used and well taken care of. Just some paint rub wear on the bottom of the foot and some lite rubs here and there on a few edges of body and rotor but not much at all, the finish on the reel looks all quite nice and very good plus shape easy. Very nice plate. Housing and rotor. Spool and drag knob look quite nice and has an excellent lever, b ail and crank. Emblem looks great and even still has label on rotor! Here is a nice Pair of Spinning Reels. PENN 710 Spinfisher.Classic Greenie.This Reel has it's original Handle replaced by a later model Penn Spinner.It works well but it's not the original.The Bail Arm doesn't flip over all the way as well. JARVIS WALKER Integra Black Gold Series II.This Reel needs some service as well.The Anti-Reverse only works on one side.When it's engaged the regular way the reel does not spin.When in anti-reverse mode it spins around fine. Penn 710 Spinfisher. Black'dimpled' paint make this a rare model. Reels smoothly. Bail, drag, and anti-reverse all seem to work fine. There is some damage to the plastic portion of the knob, as visible in the close-up photo. Some boat rash/paint chips are also visible in the photos. While reeling, on about every 10th rotation or so, the bail just barely grazes the handle(visible in photo) Internal gearing still looks great. Thanks for looking.

This is a nice used Penn Gold 710 open face spinning reel. These reels are getting very hard to find. The only identification as to what model this reel is found inside the cover. The badge is missing off the side that had the model number on it. According to Penn's website the only other way to i.d. the reel is to look inside the housing cover. The number inside is 45-710. This is a vintage PENN#710 Spinfisher spinning reel. Sometines called a"Greenie" with the green enamal finish. This one includes the reel. The original box, the wrapping paper, the instruction and parts booklet, tube of lube and some spare parts.The gear ratio is 3.6 to 1. This reel is in super condition and I would doubt it was used more than once. Just been in the box all these years. Everything is close to perfect. Only scuffing is on the base where it attaches to the rod. Working fine and operating very smoothly. Even has a bag of replacement drag washers and a wrench. My guess it that it is from the mid 1960s. The instruction sheet has a Zip Code on it. So it is after 1963, but the box does not have a Zip Code on it, so it is prior to 1963. Classic Penn No.710 Spinfisher Dark Green Medium Fresh/ Saltwater Spinning Reel
This reel out of the 1960s is in very good minus condition. Needs cleaning and has some finish loss on the pedestal and the cup. The gold medallion on the side of the body opposite the handle reads"PENN REEL 710 SPINFISHER" around the image of a leaping fish. There is an on/off anti-reverse lever on the body behind the handle. The grip on the handle is a white torpedo style. The spool is partially filled with monofilament of unknown test, probably should be discarded. The Spinfisher line is known for its quality.

The reel in the photos is the one you will receive. This reel is used although it has been sitting for many years now. This sat on a shelf before I rescued it. Now it is up to the new owner to bring this back to life and use it again. The reel spins and the clicker switch works. The tensioner also works. I am not an expert and as I said it has been sitting for many years so it may need to be rebuild. The latch does not pop back completely when you reel after flipping it over to free spool. It comes with a green colored metal body, good bail, smooth drag, good anti-reverse, rolling roller,and smooth quiet gears. It shows only some very lite wear marks, around the foot and back corner. It has a 3.6/1 gear ratio and will hold 250 yards of 12lb.test it is a very good quality reel, and is a grade 9+/10. I have been fishing with these reels for almost 50 years and caught thousands of fish with them, this a great reel to fish with. If you are not happy with an item.
