Vintage Shakespeare 2052 ED Spinning Reel
Vintage Shakespeare 2052 DA spin reel This small spin reel was made in USA. in 1967 and wieghs 8.5oz. It is in very good condition and everything works very well. It is a manual pick-up& comes with a dark red colored metal body, smooth drag, rolling roller, good anti-reverse, and quiet gears. It shows some paint loss mostly to the stem and some of the edges. It has a 4.8/1 gear ratio and will hold 250 yds. of 4lb.test it is a very good quality reel, and is a grade 8+/9. I have been fishing with these reels for almost 50 years and caught thousands of fish with them. The oil soaked leather drag washers were the best at the time. This a great reel to fish with! If you are not happy with an item. Returns are fine but buyer pays shipping. The reels I sell are 98% used. And in between 20& 100 years old. Most are far from perfect, so I some ... moretimes use the Orca grading system, the first no. is how it looks and the second how it works. A 5/5 would be for parts and a 10/10 would be new. I have been fishing with these reels for almost 50 years and caught thousands of fish with them. The oil soaked leather drag washers were the best at the time& the roller has a teflon sleeve that is better than a bearing. This a great reel to fish with! Vintage Shakespeare 2052ED spin reel This ultra-lite spin reel was made in USA. in 1967 and weighs 8.3oz. It is in good condition and everything works almost perfectly. It comes with a dark red colored metal body, good bail, smooth drag, rolling roller, good anti-reverse, and smooth quiet gears. It doe's have paint loss, heavy around the foot and back corner. It has a 4.6/1 gear ratio and will hold 200 yards of 4lb.test it is a very good quality reel, and is a grade 7+/9+. I have been fishing with these reels for almost 50 years and caught thousands of fish with them. The oil soaked leather drag washers were the best at the time& the roller has a teflon sleeve that works like a bearing. This a great reel to fish with! If you are not happy with an item. Returns are fine but buyer pays shipping. The reels I sell are 98% used. And in ... morebetween 20& 100 years old. Up for auction is a vintage. Very nice Shakespeare 2052 EC Spin cast reel that you ever have. Hard to find in this condition. This reel is in Excellent condition. Showing very little sign of use. A little scuffing of the paint a little paint worn off on outside edge of the side plate and alittle wear on the spool housing and the bottomof the reel. Perfect working reel.
