Vintage GARCIA MITCHELL 301 Spinning Reel W/Manual Made In France EXC COND!!
Today we are offering this vintage GARCIA MITCHELL model 30 1 spinning reel with the original owners manual. There is a white highlighted stamp on the retrieve handle side that reads Garcia Mitchell 30 1. There is also a n embossed stamp on the opposite side that reads Made In France. The condition of this vintage reel is VERY GOOD. No broken, missing. Or repaired pieces. Cosmetically-the reel shows g ood color and finish with appro ximately 90% of the original paint in tact. This reel was used but not misused sh owing the usual scratches and scuffs with no r ust or pitting. It appears the previous owner may have opened the reel to perhaps lubr icate the reel. The screw h eads are a little marked up as seen in picture#2 in the listing pictures. Mechanically-A ll moving parts operate smoothly and are in good working condition. You are bidding on a vintage Mitchell 301 spinning reel. This reel is in good mechanical and average cosmetic condition. The reel spins smoothly. The drag and anti-reverse work perfectly and the bail snaps closed cleanly. The line-out clicker also work perfectly. There are a numerous scratches, light paint failure and chrome loss as seen in the pictures. Please note: There is a 1/4" piece broken off of the foot of the reel as seen in the last picture. The serial number on the housing is 423078 which makes this a 4th version reel made in 1954 according to the Mitchell Reel Museum website. Please check out my other fishing related auctions. Up for auction is a vintage 1970's Mitchell Garcia model 301 freshwater spinning fishing reel. This is considered a left hand reel. Since you reel with your righthand. All of these older Mitchell reels that are"left handed" had odd-numbered model numbers. I gave this reel to my dad as a gift in the 1970's. So we are the original owner of this great reel that has been a faithful companion on fishing trips over the years, used only for family vacations for typically one week a year. Therefore, it has many small paint chips and scratches.from packing NOT actual use.but seems to be in very good working condition as I remember, as dad hasn't used it for over 30 years. We're cleaning out the basement, so despite the many good memories, it's time to pass its good karma on to someone else. Made in France. Here is a vintage Garcia Mitchell 301 spinning reel made in France with serial no. 6011424. Reel works well and in good used condition. See pictures.
