NEW IN BOX MINT GARCIA MITCHELL 400 SPINNING REEL 1962 MATCHING NUMBERS
this reel appears to have never been wound with line. there are no dents/scrapes/scratches anywhere on the reel. any blemishes you see in the photos are dust. everything w orks as expected. also includes mint unused large reel. this is a first version reel. As it has the 4 star drag and the small hole in the anti-reverse lever the box shows some wear. the original paperwork and manual is missing. this reel is midnight blue has 5 to 1 retrieve ratio serial number is 3700494. foot and box#s match. I believe this reel is from 1962. But I am not an expert on these reels, so ask questions!

Vintage Garcia Mitchell 300, 301, 400, 401, Spinning Reel Set Of 6 Spare Spools
Hello, Up for bids is a set of six(6) spare Mitchell 300 spools. One is a deep-spool aluminum model. The others are shallow-spool plastic. All are in great shape, no damaged parts. Every spool has been tested and all were found to have loud clickers and a strong, smooth, drag. Please be advised that two of the plastic spools will need a pair of drag washers and a single drag spring to be fully functional(see pics) The other four spools are complete. Vintage Garcia Mitchell 400 Spinning Reel + Extra Large Capacity Spool RUNNING GREAT! This reel is running beautifully and feels like you’d expect a Garcia Mitchell reel to feel! Mechanically. The gears mesh well, the drag system works fine, the anti-reverse system engages correctly, and the bail cocks and trips well and with authority. Cosmetically the finish has some marks commensurate with its age. Though it’s that wonderful dark blue color that Mitchell had and not black. I just couldn’t do it justice in the pictures. I ran it through the Mitchell reel dating site and the fact that the“Garcia” is engraved and not a sticker probably dates it from the early to mid 1960s. Though I confess to being a little more ignorant about dating this model reel. Please see the pictures for a more complete description and don’t hesitate to ask questions ... moreor for more pictures if you can’t see something. I’m happy to help. But perhaps not the best photographer. For some reason the camera flash made the overall color of the picture a little more red, so I included shots both ways. Unfortunately I had to use the flash to show some of the details. This reel is good and solid in your hand and is truly running beautifully. I wouldn’t hesitate to have it in my collection. But I already have one, so this one is yours! It would either make a great display piece with other period gear(or if you’re starting or adding to a Garcia or Mitchell reel collection) Or of course you could turn a couple of heads and just fish it.
