Item for bid is a vintage. USED Langley SPINLITE"DE LUXE" open faced spinning reel. Model# 850. This reel is classified as an ultra lite reel with the grey finish and came out sometime in the mid 1950's. I believe this reel to be in good working order and the only problem I see is with the handle. The"metal looking" coating on the handle has wore off on one spot on the handle(see photo) other than that issue reel seems to be in very good condition. 30 Vintage Langley#860c spin reel This large spin reel was made in USA. in the very early 60s and weighs 18 oz. It comes with a green& gold colored metal body. Good bail, smooth drag, good anti-reverse, rolling roller and good smooth gears. It shows only some very lite wear& marks on the finish on some edges. It works almost perfectly and It has a 3.3/1 gear ratio and will hold 250 yds. of 12lb.test it is a fairly good quality reel, and is a grade 9/9+. I believe this is one of the last reels made from Langley, and comes with an oversized handle knob. If you are not happy with an item. Returns are fine but buyer pays shipping. The reels I sell are 98% used. And in between 20& 100 years old. Most are far from perfect, so I some times use the Orca grading system, the first no. is how it looks and the second how it works. This is a vintage Langley Spinlite“Special” model 852 spinning reel. It is in very good*used condition. With some paint wear from use. It works great and comes with fishing line on the spool(you probably will want to change it, as I can’t guarantee how old it is) The handle is in great shape for its age; it does have a hairline crack in it. The face plate is intact and legible; it reads: Langley SPINLITE“SPECIAL” MODEL 852 MADE IN U.S.A. PATENT APPLIED FOR. A previous owner has etched an ID number on it too. 30 Vintage Langley 820 spin reel This manual pick-up spin reel was made in USA. by in the mid 50s and weighs 7.2 oz. It comes with a black colored metal body. Good drag, good anti-reverse& gears. It shows some wear on the edges mostly to the back corner. It has a 3.2/1 gear ratio and will hold 250 yds. of 6lb.test it is a fair quality reel, and is a grade 8/9. This is the only 820 with a factory MP I have ever seen. If you are not happy with an item. Returns are fine but buyer pays shipping. The reels I sell are 98% used. And in between 20& 100 years old. Most are far from perfect, so I some times use the Orca grading system, the first no. is how it looks and the second how it works. A 5/5 would be for parts and a 10/10 would be new. 2 VINTAGE RED LANGLEY DELUXE 830 SPINNING REELS
Up for auction are a pair of vintage Langley 830 Deluxe spinning reels. They are both in good working condition. The first 7 pictures are of the first reel. This reel is cleaner and in better condition cosmetically. It only has a few small spots that are missing the paint but those can be seen in the pictures. The next 5 pictures are of the 2nd reel. This reel is also in working condition but although the bail wire does flip over without problem it doesn't have the snap that the first reel has. I could not get it to turn. Might be simple fix if taken apart as it appears to have seen very little use. The other Langley does not have a box and is a Model 777. Functions OK but has seen use. Last up is an Airex(A Division of the Lionel Corporation) Mastereel Astra. In box with brochure. Spins freely but bail needs spring or help. Up for auction is a vintage Langley Spinator 870 salt water spinning reel. It is in very good working condition. Very smooth retrieve.
