When I say the reel has been serviced I mean it has been completely stripped down and soaked in mineral spirits over night. Thoroughly cleaned, and then reassembled with synthetic grease and oil to prevent rust and hardening of the lubricants. a service I normally charge $15.00 for) This reel looks like new on the inside. This reel is in absolutely excellent condition. There is a tiny bit of scuffing on the lower right bottom of the gearcase but you gotta look close to see it. There is not a hint of corrosion except for the screw at the handle. The reel is very smooth, has a snappy bail and is almost flawless for a reel of this age, you'll have to look hard to find a nicer 300 on the market. 1974 MITCHELL 300 IN EXCELLENT CONDITION
SEE LARGER PICS BELOW FOR BETTER VIEW Here's a very nice old Mitchell 300 spinning reel that comes with its correct box. Sealed paperwork, and paper sleeve. The serial number on the reel is D498107. I think, which indicates that it was produced in 1974. The serial number's first thee digits are clear, but the last are just partial. The paper sleeve shows some edge wear and a tear or two from being stored all these years. But is all complete. The clamshell is nice along with the yellow tray. It doesn't appear that this reel had been on a rod since there are no scuffs on the foot. It does have a couple very slight places where it was setting on the yellow tray. I've tried to show everything in my attached pictures. From the feel of turning the handle. It still has the original grease in the gearbox. It's fine, just a little ... morestiff. I'll let the new owner replace that if needed. This would be a great reel to either place in your collection. Or use it for what it was intended, catching fish. If the buyer will wait for an invoice after this item is sold. I will may be able to reduce your postage depending on where they may live.

Vintage Excellent Condition Garcia Mitchell 300 Spinning Reel. Manufactured in France serial# 5868273. I have fully serviced(completely broken down) and inspected this 300 reel, the reel appears to have been used only a hand full of times, if that. The reel does show some storage wear(minimal) the reel is very smooth. Clean and performs flawlessly! The extra spool& case are in very good condition. Also comes with a used tube of Mitchell reel lube(unknown how much lube is left in tube) and a used red spool arbor. 2 mitchell reel one is a mitchell 300A reel it's in excellent condition it has been refurbished and really smooth minor scratches. The spool is cracked. But is fixed the other is a mitchell 300 it works with no problem, but the reel seat is damaged spooled crack, but can be glued backed. It can also be used for parts.

Up for sale is a vintage Mitchell 300 spinning reel. It was made in France and the date on the inside of the spool says 5-7-65. I do not know if this reel was manufactured in 1965. Those of you who know the history of the variations on this reel will know for sure. I only know what is written on inside of spool. You be the judge. This Mitchell 300 is in excellent condition with only minor scratching. It is a nice clean reel and the bail works smoothly and strong. You will not be disappointed with this reel. Remember.
