Vintage Mitchell High Speed Garcia 408 France Spinning Fishing Reel Ultra Lite
This auction is for a vintage mitchell garcia high speed 408 spinning reel that is made in france. This reel seems to work except it does not automatically flip the bail back when you cast and then start to reel it back in. I am guessing it may be a combination of a weak spring and old grease. Vintage Garcia Mitchell 408 Ultralight Spinning Reel Plus Many Extra Parts
Getting old and time to unload some of my fishing treasures. This is a French made dark blue 408 high speed in very nice condition. The harsh camera flash is brutal. The reel looks much better in person. Everything functions properly. There are enough extra parts(all from 408 high speed reels) to keep the it going for a very long time. These reels are nearly indestructible. Included in the parts are three bail springs. Two extra spools- one is NOS and includes a NOS plastic container. There is a clipped bail for those who enjoy manual operation. The extra full bail is also NOS and comes complete. It is different than the bail on the reel(there are at least three variations) but it fits and works perfectly.
