This is a rare vintage DAM Quick Super spinning reel made in West Germany probably about 1968. The reel has line on the spool but it's in pristine condition with no wear whatsoever. The DAM decal says Berlin West. This is a very unique reel and incredibly well engineered. This was a"Special Edition" model that featured an adjustment knob to change the gear ratio but it was discontinued shortly thereafter. Extremely rare and in superb A1 condition.

Made in Germany" marked on reel foot Cosmetically the reel is in very good used condition for its age. There is some very minor paint wear on the reel foot. Frame and rotor cup. Vintage DAM Quick Super No.270 Saltwater Spinning Reel Fishing
This reel appears to be in new condition. The red drag knob on the spool is marked"270" on the underside. This is a large reel. Suitable for saltwater or big freshwater use. The body and the skirt are dark green. There is the image of a trout/salmon on the body behind the crank handle. The on/off anti-reverse lever is at the base of the handle. The reverse side of the body is marked"Quick(underlined)SUPER" and has a medallion marked"DAM/BERLIN/WEST" This reel was introduced in the mid 1950s. The bottom of the foot is marked"MADE IN GERMANY" This comes in a red cloth bag of unknown origin.

Vintage DAM Quick Super Spinning Reel Made in Germany. Auction is for a vintage DAM Quick Super large spinning reel. Made in Germany. Overall excellent condition. Shows very minimal signs of wear. Mainly a small amount of scuffing up on reel seat from being set on a rod. Rest of paint in original looking condition, no signs of rust or pitting residue. Also very clean underneath spool. See photos carefully for more. Takes a bit more force to start cranking since grease is old, otherwise once it gets going works as good as it looks. Smooth spin, bailer sets easy and trips fast like clockwork. Little directional switch above handle easy to change. Could easily be fished with today. DAM QUICK "SUPER" VINTAGE GERMAN, LARGE SPINNING REEL, SALTWATER
D.A.M. QUICK brand spinning reel made in Germany(embossed on foot) Has REVERSIBLE HAND CRANK for left or right hand use. This is the labeled the SUPER model. There are no model numbers on it. But I have seen it referred to as model 270. The bail snaps back cleanly. Everything works. But internals feel a little sluggish, so it probably needs some internal cleaning and new grease. Beautiful green paint on body looks so good that I suspect that it may have disassembled and lightly spray painted years ago. If so. It's a very good paint job, and may have been'factory' Very little wear for a reel of this age.
