Garcia Mitchell 306 Spinning Reel 1958-1970 Excellent Serial #1103598
Up for bid is a Garcia Mitchell 306 spinning reel. Collectors grade, which is black in color. This made in France reel with serial#1103598 dates between 1958-1970. The reel is marked in three different places"Made in France" 1) reel foot 2) rotor cup 3) spool(uncommon placement) It is all original and even comes with the original yellow line spacer for the spool. Which is pictured. Bail works as it should and opens and closes properly. The bail spring is strong causing the bail to snap shut. This reel is unbelievably smooth particularly for a reel it's size. You feel little if any resistance when cranking the handle. Anti-reverse works as it should. Wonderful offering for your consideration. There is only one spot of paint loss on the reel foot. Up for bid is a Garcia Mitchell 411 High speed spinning reel in very good to excellent condition. It is blue in color and the handle has the High speed sticker on it. The reel has light wear on the paint/anodizing on the rotor and reel body. Please see pictures as they are part of the description. The wear on the rotor cup is primarily on the corner where the rotor goes from the side to the angle underneath the rotor. The body has some wear on the side opposite the reel handle on the bottom corner of the bottom of the reel and on the shaft support. That is why this is reel is not excellent plus. Cosmetically the reel has some rash and needs some cleaning but is in. What I would consider VG–condition. Mechanically the anti-reverse works. The bail spring is still pretty strong, the handle turns smoothly and the spool moves in and out easily. The 350 series of reels was manufactured from 1956 through the 1980s. This is a nice. This is a great vintage Mitchell spinning fishing reel. I believe it is a Model 300 but there are no marks to actually indicate the model. It is marked Made in France. Serial No. is C70495. It is in good working condition, it does have some minor scuffing from use but nothing terrible. I believe it dates from the 1950s, please correct me if I'm wrong- I've had a hard time researching this particular reel(there's so many variations! Please see all pictures for best description. Rare 1st version Zebco Cardinal #3 ultralite - serial 741000 spinning reel
Besides the 1974 serial number. This reel has all the requirements for a first model: the trapezoidal knob, the cone shaped bail end, and the indented plate logo on the cover plate. The reel has been cleaned inside and out, and the drag disks have been replaced with original parts. A spool arbor is included. I even took out the bearing and treated it with Hot Sauce oil. The reel is so smooth the handle seems to jump forward as you crank. It displays very well from one side but has rash on the other. As much as these are collectible, the beauty of these reeIs is in their use. This one has a good bail trip, perfect drag, andgood click/anti-reverse and could be the perfect user.
