Shakespeare 2052 DC spinning reel in Mint- condition in the box with instruction booklet The Shakespeare 2052 spinning reel first appeared in its catalog in 1966 and was last offered in their catalog in 1975. A run of ten years. This reel is a 2052 DC. The DC indicates it was first made in 1978. Three years after it last appeared in Shakespeare catalogs. These 2052 DC reels were the last 2052’s produced by Shakespeare. The reel is a mere 9 ounce ultra light reel. Pinion ball bearing, 4.7:1 gear ratio, 6 disc drag, aluminum frame, stainless steel bail and roller guide. This reel has a fold down handle and a fold down bail. Being able to fold down the bail relaxes the bail spring and helps increase it's life span when reel is stored. this reel is in Mint- condition. You will be pleased

Regarding appearance, but seems to be in VERY GOOD working condition. We are not experts on fishing reels, but we love to fish, so know how a reel should work. Vintage Shakespeare 2052 DA spin reel This small spin reel was made in USA. in 1967 and wieghs 8.5oz. It is in very good condition and everything works very well. It is a manual pick-up& comes with a dark red colored metal body, smooth drag, rolling roller, good anti-reverse, and quiet gears. It shows some paint loss mostly to the stem and some of the edges. It has a 4.8/1 gear ratio and will hold 250 yds. of 4lb.test it is a very good quality reel, and is a grade 8+/9. I have been fishing with these reels for almost 50 years and caught thousands of fish with them. The oil soaked leather drag washers were the best at the time. This a great reel to fish with! If you are not happy with an item. Returns are fine but buyer pays shipping. The reels I sell are 98% used. And in between 20& 100 years old. Most are far from perfect, so I some ... moretimes use the Orca grading system, the first no. is how it looks and the second how it works. A 5/5 would be for parts and a 10/10 would be new. Hi and thanks for looking. We are selling one vintage SHAKESPEARE 2052 SPINNING REEL& BOX AND ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS. The reel is in excellent working condition and looks great/barely used. The outstanding features the real has are as follows. Ball bearing mounted Pinion- ratio 4.7 to 1. Fast retrieve approximately 21 inches of line per turn of the crank. Folding crank natural anodized aluminum. Multiple disc clutch alternating leather and metal discs ensures a long-lasting smooth drag. Stainless steel ball folds for storage. Liver type non-reverse nylon anti-freeze bushing. Easy take down for cleaning and maintenance. The weight of the Reel is 9 ounces with an empty spool. Some items of note It does have a small knick on the bottom of it and a couple of very small scratches that are barely visible. It comes with both the original box ... moreand instructions. Vintage Pflueger 550 (Shakespeare 2052) Spinning Reel
Vintage Pflueger 550(Shakespeare 2052) spin reel This lite spin reel was made in USA. in the mid 60s and weighs 8.5oz. It is in excellent condition and everything works very well. It comes with a light grey colored metal body, good bail, smooth drag, rolling roller, good anti-reverse, and good gears. It shows only some lite wear, mostly around the foot and the back edge. It has a 4.7/1 gear ratio and will hold 250 yards of 4lb.test it is a very good quality reel, and is a grade 8+/9+. I have been fishing with these reels for almost 50 years and caught thousands of fish with them. The oil soaked leather drag washers were the best at the time& the roller has a teflon sleeve that works like a bearing, this a great reel to fish with. If you are not happy with an item. Returns are fine but buyer pays shipping. The reels I sell are 98% used. ... moreAnd in between 20& 100 years old. Most are far from perfect, so I some times use the Orca grading system, the first no. is how it looks and the second how it works. A 5/5 would be for parts and a 10/10 would be new.
