This vintage Garcia Mitchell 306 spinning reel in rough shape but still works. It seems mechanicaly in good working order. Physically it has corrision. Rust, missing paint and the bail is missing(there are a couple pieces for bail attached to reel photos show them) It retrieves fine but seems a little tight. It has original instruction book. Has a quick release spool for line. I tried to undo the handle to spin it but couldn't move the lock nut. Here is a Nice Vintage garcia Mitchell 306 Spinning Fishing Reel MADE IN FRANCE with the much sought after double red band around the rotating head. Also. Somewhat different is the white painted aluminum spool(factory done) as shown. Of course there are some minimal signs of use, but hardly anything really with some of the paint under the top lip of the spool starting to peel a little in places(see pics) Mechanics are great for all functions. On the bottom of the reel foot is the number G318111 and the word FRANCE. Under the rotating head it says MADE IN FRANCE U.S. PATENT 2 726 052. The retrieve ratio is 3.9:1 and will hold 450 yards of 10 lb. line, 350 yards of 12 lb. line and 300 yards of 15 lb. line. Vintage Garcia Mitchell 306 spinning reel with box and extra spool in case. Excellent lightly used condition. A small scuff on the spool edge and small chips on foot ends. All functions are smooth and proper. In original box that has some exterior edge wear and interior is a bit dirty. Extra spool is in excellent condition.
