I have here an Abel TR light fly reel with an extra spool. These are in absolutely fantastic shape. The reel also has some Orvis Spring Creek WF-3-F on it. Comes with reel. Extra spool(did I say EXTRA SPOOL? Yes, I did) line and spool bags. This is a tiny reel for those guys that have toyed with the notion of a 1 wt, 2 wt or 3 wt rod. It's super high quality as you already know. Have one spool for flicking out gnats and black ants, and another spool for drifting some tiny, tiny beadhead nymphs when the stream conditions change. This is a great Abel travel bag for all your fishing gear. You can safely carry 6-8 rods in their socks inside the solidly built twin rod sections on the bottom of the bag and then have room for waders. Boots, reels etc. in the main section. The case measures approximately 34" in length by 7" wide. The upper, duffel style, compartment expands to approximately 12" high when filled(measured from bottom of case) There are also two long side compartments on either side of the main section. The cork on the drag plate is brand new. The spool has been stored with the drag on and the cork drag plate“froze” to the spool. This caused pitting of the spool. The reel works smoothly and quietly. I bought this new last summer and don't have a rod to use it with anymore. This is an Abel Super 8 AR Right hand reel in black with a wood finish knob. I used it on one trip to Florida fishing for Bonefish and Permit. It is in nearly new condition. No scratches or blemishes. I sent it in to Abel at the end of 2014 and just received it back. They cleaned and inspected it, and certified that it is in perfect working order.
