In a recent review of my rod inventory I realized I've got a ridiculous number of rods particularly in the 7-10wt range so am looking to find them good homes where they'll hopefully see some action. The photos will hopefully evidence the exceptional condition the rod is in. The photos of the cork grip in particular will show how well maintained the rod is. That being said I was able to identify one small imperfection. A small scratch, that prevents me from saying the rod's condition is"excellent" The photo make this surface scratch look way worse than it is and I doubt a buyer would even identify this imperfection upon receipt but I feel honesty of condition should be the foundation of the eBay experience. The rod tube and sock are also in exceptional condition. This rod is of course perfect stripers, bluefish, snook, big reds, baby tarpon, small dorado, etc. Here's what the Loomis website says about this rod line. Hello, I am posting 3 fishing rods. All three are G-Loomis GLX's. 2 of them are 7ft and the third one is 6ft 6inchs. I am picking the rods up tomorrow from my brother-in-laws house. I left all 3 over there the last time we went fishing and have been too lazy to go grab them. Anyway. The rods are perfect. Other than the cork handles being dirty nothing else to say about them. This super light and fast 9 foot 6 weight 4 piece easily manages small and medium sized Bonefish flies and handles fairly large fish. I put this to the test on Long Island in the Bahamas. Ford Flat produced three fish on the chunky side of 8 lbs during a week of January cold fronts that created sustained winds to 45 mph. The single benefit of that wind was the two foot chop allowing close in shots. The butt section and the mid on this rod are stout! Here we have a G Loomis Roaring River GLX Stinger 12'6" 3 piece fly rod. This rod is made in AMERICA and is very lightly used. The only way you can tell it is used is by the subtle markings on the male section of the ferrules. Probably fished less than 4 times. Would make for an excellent steelhead rod throwing skagits out west or in the Great Lakes tribs. Great for over heading in the salt. Try to stick between 450- 510 grains.
