Hardy Zenith 9 ft 5 weight fly rod 4 piece
This rod is virtually brand new. It has been fished a total of three times and is in flawless condition. These rods are fantastic and the only reason I am getting rid of it is that I want the 10 ft model due to the fact I mostly nymph in the rivers I fish and the extra length really helps. I have never registered the rod with Hardy Warranty so I am not exactly sure if buyer can register under their name or not. I am the original owner of this Hardy Zenith 8'6" 4wt rod. And it is in almost new condition. I bought it last year and fished it about 20 times. It is a 4 piece rode, and casts really smoothly. I am selling it because I have a 5 weight rod already, and need to sell this rod so I can buy a steelhead rod. There are no scratches or dings in the rod. I was very careful with it. The cork has a small chunk taken out of it, I included a close up of that area in my photos. The rod tube also has some scratches on it from transporting the rod, but it is only cosmetic. This is a Hardy"Zenith" Fly Reel and 2 spare spools. It is in excellent condition with hardly any edge wear or scuffing. The reel has a wide drum of 1 1/8" and has line loaded on the reel. The reel measures 3 3/8" in diameter. Hard to tell but looks to be an 8 weight line. It has the click pawl system and a nickel silver line guide. The reel is set for left hand but can be changed. There is a nickel silver rim tension screw. Smooth alloy reelfoot and 2 screw aluminum spool latch.The spare spools have no line loaded. One of the spools has some paint loss. I am including 2 extra fly lines in the 8 weight class. The reel comes with the Hardy pouch and the spools are in a zippered pouch. Use the zoom on the pics to see the detail on them. I've got a really nice 10' 6wt 4pc Hardy Zenith for sale. If you are looking at this listing then you have no doubt heard how nice the Hardy Zenith is. The Zenith is a light weight fast action cannon of a rod. Really fun to fish. I bought this rod new last year in March and used in on a half dozen float trips or so. Its a great rod for heavy nymph rigs and has caught me some nice fish. Rod is used and the cork shows some soiling. The rest of the rod is perfect. As you can see in the pictures it has the skeletal reel seat that was made on the original Zenith rod series.
