I have for auction a near perfect Double Black anodized Abel No.3 10/11 Ported Big game fly reel that is in great shape for her age. It has a new DT 100Yard 10 wt. floating line and 200 yards of 30# Dacron backing. It comes with the grey Velcro bag pictured. the reel has a small blemish on the under side{opposite the reel foot} that is very minor and not really noticeable at all.I think it was from one boat ride. It has always been stored with the cork drag open so not to compress the mineral oil out of the cork. I have here an Abel TR light fly reel with an extra spool. These are in absolutely fantastic shape. The reel also has some Orvis Spring Creek WF-3-F on it. Comes with reel. Extra spool(did I say EXTRA SPOOL? Yes, I did) line and spool bags. This is a tiny reel for those guys that have toyed with the notion of a 1 wt, 2 wt or 3 wt rod. It's super high quality as you already know. Have one spool for flicking out gnats and black ants, and another spool for drifting some tiny, tiny beadhead nymphs when the stream conditions change. This is a beautiful reel that I just don't fish with any more. So this is your chance. It has a few cosmetic dings on it and I did my best to get them in the close-ups, but the reel works perfectly. This is a great Abel travel bag for all your fishing gear. You can safely carry 6-8 rods in their socks inside the solidly built twin rod sections on the bottom of the bag and then have room for waders. Boots, reels etc. in the main section. The case measures approximately 34" in length by 7" wide. The upper, duffel style, compartment expands to approximately 12" high when filled(measured from bottom of case) There are also two long side compartments on either side of the main section. You are looking at a gently used Abel Super 3N. The reel and spool are matte black with the reel seat. Handle, and drag knob in Blue III. It is loaded with backing for 3 weight line. The reel is currently set up for right hand retrieve, but can easily be set for left hand wind. Abel Fly Reel for sale. It's sized for 7-8-9wt lines. It's anodized matte olive green finish and looks awesome and tough. Used only for bass in freshwater. Never in salt, though fully capable in the saltwater. Made in USA and awesome. Comes with an 8wt Bass line-I don't remember who makes it, but it throws big bugs pretty well. Used a handful of times.
