VintageTarzia Firenze Italian porcelain trinket duck box decorated with pieces of bamboo glued to the exterior. And what seems to be cork in other areas, and lined with brass pieces separating the wings from the body. The label in the bottom of the porcelain interior reads"light Bamboo/brass Duck Box. The marking on the felt bottom says Tarzia Firenze. It measures 12 inches in length 5 inches wide, and 7 inches tall. There are one or two tiny pieces of cork missing from where the lid sits on the bottom. Otherwise there are no cracks, chips, or crazing. It is a fine piece of Italian craftmanship.

Here we have for your consideration is this antique or early vintage fisherman's landing net. Great for fly fishing as a mater of fact I have used it this spawning season! It is made of a bamboo frame with a wicker ratan wrap& has a very strong netting that goes from green to brownish olive to black! It has landed everything from large 32" steelhead trout to the little rock bass& smallies that I always catch in the summer. I got a new net just recently& want to pass this on to a collector as it will just get beat up with me. I think it is at least 50 years old It was my great grandfathers. I have had it hanging in my kitchen& it makes a nice decor item as well as being a well made working net! No holes or breaks in the extremely strong netting. Brownhills Pottery Co. Tunstall. England(1872-1896) Biscuit jar with no lid. Bamboo and Trellis" design salt glazed stoneware. 1469p" in red on the bottom and an impressed maker's mark that reads"B P Co" I have only given this piece a damp cloth cleaning but it could benefit from a good scrub. There is grime in the textured surface that does clean off with mild dish soap. No cracks or chips and the glazes are bright and colorful. The piece measures 5" tall and 5 1/8" across the top. My house is neither smoke nor pet free. Although I give most items a light cleaning. I cannot guarantee they will be allergen free.

Wes Jordan-made ORVIS bamboo spinning rod, near perfect
Near-mint Orvis bamboo spinning rod. Made and marked by famed rod maker Wes Jordan in 1958. This rod is 2 pieces, one tip, 7' long and all correct, straight and original length. The finish is exceptional. Rod is a Battenkill grade(so marked on the butt) and was made for Ev Kimball by Wes Jordan(also so marked on the butt) serial numbers 23XXX on both butt and tip. I fished this rod twice last summer and it's a dream to cast. If you want the classiness of split cane for spinning, you won't find a better rod than this(and it's more than 50 years old! Comes in original sock and what I believe is the original Orvis aluminum rod tube, although there's no label on the tube. MINT EDWARDS DELUXE SALMON ROD 3/2 12' TWO HANDED BAMBOO FLY ROD NO.200
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a mint Edwards Deluxe Salmon Rod from the 1930s(Gene Edwards Era) This is the No 200 12' rod cataloged in the mid to late 1930s. The rod comes in a tube indicating it was made by E.W. Edwards& Sons division of the Horton Manufacturing Co. Bristol, Conn. The tube does not indicate the model number or the length or weight, but it is a 3/2 spey rod with each section of equal 49" length and straight. These dimensions result in a 12' rod when assembled. The only markings on the rod are Edwards"DeLuxe" above the hook keep and"patent applied for" engraved on the reel seat. It has an agate stripping guide, 12 running guides and the tip top. I believe the rod is new in its original tube and bag. The cork is covered in a plastic wrap which I presume was placed there at manufacture. ... moreThe rod shows no signs of use. Vintage Bamboo Fly Rod Tip and Mid Section
I have up for auction a great tip and mid section to a vintage fly pole. The tip is 36" inch's long. Snake guides, wraps, and ferrels all solid just need a cleaning. The mid section is 35" 1/2 inch's long and the guides, wraps, and ferrels the same. Just a slight bend in the tip, also has a bakelite insert. It looks to be a St. Croix pole but just a guess. Has its rod bag and tube also in good condition. Here's a very nice Heddon Bamboo Fly Rod. Its a 2 1/2 F which makes it a medium trout-bass-light steelhead rod. I prefer this action when I going to cast the larger streamers or terrestrials, but then it will still cast the smaller flies and make great presentations. I have not fished this rod but have lawn cast it, it casts a DT6 or 7 really well and lays it very nicely. I was really impressed, rod is very smooth, predictable and forgiving. CORTLAND 444 IMPREGNATED BAMBOO 2/2 FLY ROD 6 1/2' FOR 5-6 WT ORIGINAL BAG/CASE
Cortland 444 bamboo rod made by Sharpes of Aberdeen. England for Cortland using the Orvis impregnated method. It comes complete with original case and bag. It is a 6 1/2' 2/2 rod for 5-6 weight, known to be a really nice trout rod. The rod is used, but in nice shape. One tip appears to be all original as does the butt section. The second tip appears to have been repaired(see pictures of"ribbed" section between the second and third snake guide below the tip top) and may not be original to this rod. It is slightly shorter than the other tip and butt section. It appears to be a slightly lighter color as well. The female ferrule on the butt section and the male ferrule on the original tip section both have the number 27 stamped on them. I am unable to find that number on the questioned tip. Whatever the history of the questioned ... moretip, it appears to be in nice, fishable condition. Please see pictures for condition and feel free to ask questions. I am not a rod expert. But I will try to answer as best I can. Payment must be received within 7 days. Shipping only in the United States for this item. VINTAGE ANTIQUE 1930s ERA" PEQUEA TRIBE" HEXAGON SPLIT BAMBOO FISHING ROD WITH DUEL COMPARTMENT FISHING ROD CLOTH BAG. Dimensions: The overall length of the fishing rod is 67. The cloth bag is 41" long and the upper portion of the rod is 34" long while the lower is 35" long. There is a crack in the joint between the upper and lower portions on the lower portion of the rod and this is shown in pics. It still fits together well. The fishing rod is made of real split bamboo that is tied and glued in a hexagonal shape. Has nice original varnish shellac glossy finish. It comes in two pieces. An upper and a lower, as well as with a dual compartment fishing rod bag. String bindings are still tight and the decal is beautiful. Up for auction a rather Nice 1938-1940 SOUTH BEND NO.77 8-1/2 FT. 3/2 SPLIT BAMBOO FLY ROD WITH CLOTH BAG. Not seen near as often as many other models from the South Bend Bait Company, the No.77 would sell from the early 1930's up until WWII. Because this example is equipped with the garnix stripping guide(stainless steel strippers would be used starting in 1941) and wrapped in black& yellow, we know it was built from 1938-1940. Rodshaft carries about a 95% complete"South Bend Bait Company- Quality Tackle" oval logo decal. Handprinted in white ink on one flat is"77- 8-1/2' while on an opposite flat reads"HCH or C" the old line weight designation equivalent to today's modern 7 wt. lines. Built with darkly stained Tonkin cane and comes equipped with extra tip section, red garnix stripping guide, 9) hardened ... moresteel snake guides& tip tops, nickel silver welted ferrules, hook keeper, NS winding check, chromed thread-locking reel seat with black spacer, solid cork Half-Wells grip and wound in black silk tipped in yellow. I've added a photo of the original listing from South Bend's 1939 catalog. Rod is in solid Fine to Very Fine condition, showing moderate wear that one would associate with normal use. Bamboo is perfect, with no splits, cracks or delamination whatsoever. All four sections are the correct equal length, with a few light sets. Original varnish shows thinning in several areas, but remains in decent shape. All wraps are solid and complete. All guides, stripping guide, tip tops, ferrules, hook keeper and winding check are very nice. Reel seat works perfectly, with nice hardware. Solid cork grip is in good condition, showing moderate wear. Put up in a period cloth bag, which remains in very fine condition, with no holes or tears. Very rare Meissner TROPICANA mirror and Bamboo radio. These were made for the Tropicana by Maguire Ind. Inc of Mt Carmel IL. around 1946 and one was made for each of the 25 rooms at the hotel. This is all original with no damage and is in working condition. The radio has a mirror top and front with palm tree design and is listed in"Collector's Guide to Antique Radios" 5th edition. FIRST SPLICED TROUT ROD I'VE SEEN! I HAVE SEEN THE SPEY RODS. NEVER THE SINGLE HANDED TROUT ROD. THIS ROD IS DEFINATELY VERY NEAR MINT. VERY MUCH A COLLECTOR ITEM. CORK IS CLEAN. I CAN SEE NO MARKINGS AT ALL ON THE REEL SEAT, CANE IS BEAUTIFULL. THE DECAL IS PARTIALLY MISSING THE"M" THAT IS TRULY THE ONLY THING I CAN SEE AS A DEFECT ON THIS ROD. IT IS 9' LONG PIECE. THE BAG IS EXCELLENT BUT THOUGH MAYBE NOT AS CLEAN LOOKING, MAYBE A SIMPLE WASHING WILL BRING IT TO BEING PERFECT. SHIPPING TO CANADA AN D USA $60 AS THIS IS A 5' SECTION ROD.
