Two almost matching monogrammed sheets, bobbin lace and pulled thread work
An almost matching pair of metis linen sheets with bobbin lace edging. They are quite large. About 89" wide and 119" long, no central seam. Beautiful bobbin lace edging across width and 21" up sides/turn over. Lace is 2" deep. PR hand embroidered monograms in raised satin stitch and white work. One monogram measures about 3.2" and the other about 4½" x 3½" Pulled thread work across the top hems. I found one tiny mark near edge on one sheet(see photo) A break in the bobbin lace and some loose ends to the bobbin, all of which are difficult to spot, I was inspecting closely. The other sheet has a repair 33" from edge and 30" from top hem(doesn't show when the sheet is turned over on the bed) see last photo for distance between monogram and repair. Large Antique New England Mill Spinning Spindle Bobbin Wool Mill Late 1800's
Amazing antique spinning bobbin from a New England wool mill during the 1800's. The bobbin is large. Measures 9" long, the ends are 4.5" across. The bobbin was originally purchased from the Cannon House, Salt Lake City, Utah. The George M. Cannon House was built in 1890, today it is a bed and breakfast. The sticker says Vintage New England Bobbin. Now a collector's piece, but first used for spinning in a hundred year old mill. The sticker has been attached so long to the bobbin it has absorbed the lanoline/ machine oil that was used by the mill. The one end attached to the mill housing, the brass inner ring extends about 1.5" into the center cylinder. The center spindle has so much character after decades of use. Wonderful piece from America's industrial past!

The Smith 39 Bobbin has a thin black top& bottom(possibly fiber) The bottom wider. Overall size is 4-3/8" The Gettysburg Throwing Co spool has a clay colored top& bottom and a blonde wooden body. The company started in 1917 and closed in 1971. The overall size is 3-3/4" The remaining 2 spools are: 1 with a dark thin top& brown stained body- overall size is 4-5/8" 1 with a clay colored thin top and blonde wood(maple or beech) body- overall size is 3-7/8" All of the spools have metal screws or plugs in the top& bottom. The visible difference with this shuttle is that it has slits on the side so you can see how much thread is left and a large divot on the inner part of the nose. Antique Westinghouse American Brunswick Eldredge Sewing Machine Bobbin Winder
This is an Antique Sewing Machine Long Bobbin Winder. It is from a Westinghouse Apartment electric sewing machine. But may also fit Eldredge, American, National, Brunswick, Western Electric and all models with the same"exact" body pictured reguardless of the name. It may even fit some treadle version machines. I have pictured two electric models this fits and what the mounting hub may look like. It has a new rubber wheel. The rubber wheel rides the balance wheel. This part has been oiled and tested and works great. The metal has a fair shine with some discoloration in areas. The black paint has some wear and is dirty on the backside. It comes with the mounting screw and tension spring. It measures 3-3/4" across at the top. It mounts to a 1/4" hub on the body of the machine. Should you wish. Personally I would leave it as it is. This would look brilliant with the deep lace border peeping out of a pocket or sleeve. It begs to be used by a bride or a mother of the bride. Perfect for those emotional moments during a wedding. Something old for luck? I have hand laundered the hankie and there are no nasty stains. This is a Rare Antique Singer Throat Plate and Bobbin Cover. Singer part number 32571(throat plate) 32569(bobbin plate) and 32570(clip) The bobbin cover is patent dated July 21. 1903. These came from an antique Singer 66 with a 5 bank feed dog. The parts will fit Singer models 66. 99, 185& Spartan 192. There will be a gap in the feed dog cutouts of the throat plate if your machine has a 4 bank feed dog. I have pictured both style feed dogs. Please review the picture of both for details. The pieces have an aged and worn finish with dark edges. Some plating flaked off the throat plate. I sell them as a pair so the patinas match.
