It’s a second Generation Feralite Flyrods made over the period 1972 to1988. Comes with the original sock and aluminum carry tube. It’s been in my gun safe since purchase. I purchased this rod new in about 1985. I had joined a fishing and hunting club on the Round Out in NY State to go deer hunting. One of the members was an avid fly fisherman and made custom bamboo rods. Gus Nevros. Gus urged me to fly fish and since I did not have any equipment. Gus took me on a world wind shopping trip on Long Island to get ALL the required items. Gus must have tried 20 or more rods in over 4 stores to select this one. It has great action and feel. I am the original owner of this rod and purchased it NEW sometime in the early/mid 70's from a local Sporting Goods Store. I used it for a while(But really didn't like it) I found the action too soft and spongy for my type of fishing. I used it a few more times and I was sure I hated it. Not a good selling point, BUT, I'm honest. I hung it up in one of my many rod racks and have not used this rod in over 30 years. It came, I BELIEVE with a plastic tube and some sort of sock, but, all that's long gone. Rod is in excellent condition. This classic Fenwick rod is in good plus. Very good minus condition. There are minor scratches on the rod shaft and the tip is 1" short, which would not affect rod action. This 4 ounce rod is designed for line weights 5 or 6. The serial number is G122420. The grip and anodized aluminum reel seat are in very good condition, but the butt cap is missing. No bag or tube. An excellent fishing tool for the fiberglass fan. Sorry, no international shipments because of package length limitations.

This auction is for vintage Fenwick HMG Fly Fishing Rod Model P385428 in original metal tube. It is in fair condition and has been used a few times. No cracks to pole. Eyelets are all intact. Cork is dirty from age. Reel seat area is fairly good. Rod is approx 8ft tall and comes apart in 2 pieces. Cloth that rod goes in does have a seem apart in the center of it. Tube says Fenwick HMG and has a few small dents ans multiple scratches and scrapes to it. I believe it is a 5 weight pole. I am not an expert on this. So what you see is what you get. Up for auction is a Fenwick HMG Fly Rod. I got this at an estate sale and only know what was told about it. It is a GFF 906 9' 3 3/4 oz. AFTMA LINE NO 6. It also has on the side the Eagle with the name FENWICK across the front on him and then it has HMG GRAPHITE. The upper shaft has 7 eyes and the lower part has 3 eyes. The cork handle and the reel seat are in Perfect condition The people that I got this from said that the second eye from the butt has been retied but it need to be done better. They said that this did not effect the action of the rod. The rest of this rod is in VERY CLOSE TO MINT CONDITION. There is NOT A THING WRONG with the other eyes or the part that holds the reel or the handle. It goes together and comes apart smoothly. I was told that this is also an Older Rod but I'm not sure. You are bidding on a very nice Vintage Fenwick FF84 Feralite Fly Fishing Rod With Its Original Rod Sock and Metal Rod Tube. This is a very early model– 1967- of these beautiful old rods as evidenced by the serial number G 113485. It is a 2 piece rod measuring 8 ½’ in length. It weighs 4 oz. and is rated for AFTMA Fly Line No. 5– 6. This is a truly original rod that appears to have been used. Put in the rod tube and left there for a number of years. The cork handle is stained from use but is intact and could be easily cleaned. The reel seat is clean and is stamped with the Fenwick Eagle. The guides are original and wrapped in a chocolate brown colored wrapping with white borders. The Feralite Ferrule shows no damage and is still tight. The rod sock is still in very good condition. The metal rod tube is in good condition but is missing ... morethe metal screw cap. This is a good example of these well made rods that can still fished as well as most modern rods. Made in the USA this rod has a serial number of D 43799 indicating it was made in or around 1964. This is a 4 piece rod measuring 7’ in length and weighing 3 ¾ oz. The rod is in original condition except for the cork handle that looks like it was cleaned with fine sandpaper. The wrappings are chocolate brown with white trim and are in good condition. The guides are original and are also in good condition. The Feralite Ferrules are all intact and fit together well. The fly rod reel seat has a little rash but no dents or scratches. The 2 locking seats on the cork handle for a spinning rod are in very good condition. Offered is this vintage fenwick feralite that I believe is one of the first Feralite rods Jim Green Devoloped& patented in the early 60's It is a 7 ft. 5 wt. weighing only 3 1/8 oz. It is a delight in the hand to those who appreciate fiberglass rods. It is in excelent condition as shown in the pictures. Take the time to look at all the pictures to appreciate it's condition. This rod has no serial# where one would usually be found. There is some color difference between the two sections which also suggest early development of the feralite program. It has a few blemishes that you'd expect to find on a used vintage rod, but the feralite glass is sound. The original butt cap is missing(not uncommon with vintage Fenwicks) And has been replaced with a nice cork butt plug. Serial#G76230 indicates this is a 1966 or 1967 Feralite rod. As far as"Modified" is concerned it's supposed to be 8'6" and it is actually 8'3" The story is that the salesman at the now defunked"Wolfes sporting goods" in Park City UT. back in the late 70s was showing the rod to my dad and jamed it into the ceiling and broke it off and they then sold it at a greatly reduced price. This auction is for a vintage 1968 Fenwick Feralite FF75Rod in Original Tube with Sock and Store Tag rod guarantee and Assembly Instructions all in great shape. The rare“I” serial numbered fly rod specifications are as follows: 7 1/2' in length. 2 sections, line weight 5-6, weight 3 1/4 oz. cork grip, down locking reel seat engraved with Fenwick Eagle logo, hook keeper eyelet and serial number I 13162. Cosmetically, all decals are in near perfect condition, all line guides, stripping guide and hook keeper eyelets complete and wraps tight, the rod appears to have been fished only a few times due to the condition of the glass, cork handle, real seat and guides while the rod tube still retains the original Fenwick paper label, is complete and is in excellent shape. The early cloth sock is not the original for this rod but is in wonderful ... moreshape with bottom and top ties. Note: the rod appears to have been repaired on the tippet section for there is a double ended female ferrule glued and wrapped into glass approximately 10” down from tiptop line guide. This is nice early Fenwick Feralite Fly Rod that will make a great addition to your fly-fishing collectibles and a neat one to use on your favorite trout streams. This is an FF70-4 Serial#B 15015. I believe 1961-1962 era when it was made. Rod is in very good shape, feralite guides are tight and sound. Has no nicks, scrapes or dings at all. This is a well preserved rod and includes original cloth wrapper and protective metal tube. The tube took all the abuse. Rods in excellent shape. Thanks for looking.

Both rod's are custom built by me for your small stream work. These will get into those tight brush filled area's where no man has gone before. I haven't fished this rod but have lawn cast it, it casts a WF5F nicely and lays a line well. Fly rod has a mid flex with a fine tip, it does a beautiful close in roll cast in tight cover and has enough back bone to pull that Brown out of the wood!
