The cloth case is ... moregone. The rod is in exceptional shape. The eyes have no damage and the wrapping is in great shape. The cork handle has never had a hook in it and is damage free. The feral attaches well and holds nicely. The action is live. The line rating tag is still on the rod but I couldn't upload enough pictures to show everything. My guess is made in very late 50's or early 60's. Defininely before mid 1963 as that was the year the 5 digit zip code came out and Fenwick's address doesn't have that.only Long Beach 4, California. Considering that, this rod is at least 50 years old but looks like it was manufactured last week except the line rating tag is slightly loose and needs regluing on the top edge. That's not bad for a 50 year old rod. There is a dent or two in the aluminum case as can be seen in picture 11. The serviceability is in no way impaired. Feralite had not yet been patented when this rod was made as it says patent pending behind the word Feralite. Serial number is C 16723. Exceptional piece but I am downsizing and can't tramp the streams as I once did so here's a nice opportunity to own agreat rod. Low start. No reserve, and 14 day return privilege so bid with confidence and the assurance that I want you to be 100% pleased with your purchase. Lamiglas SFL96 S GLASS 8" 6/7 WT 2 PC Fly rod. The rod is in really good shape. I recently bought it but find I really don't need another 6/7wt. Rod shows only minor wear. Has two stripper guides and a Fuji seat. The Fuji seat may not be the prettiest to most people but they are bomb proof. I am a big fan of them. I paid $100 just for this rod and that was a bargain. I am offering all of this for a $99 start price. The Martin 67SS-A reel comes with line. Shows minor wear. Most noticeable is a spot on the spool. Pawls are good. Nice click pawl reel. No clue what the line is but think its a wf5f line. Next is a Fenwick fly rod. It was an 8"6 6/7 wt but I cut a couple foot off the butt and remounted the grip and moved the stripper. I think I paid around 120.00 or more when I bought this back in 1997 or 1998. Comes in a green protective cloth sleeve and brown hard shell case with dark brown lid tips. hard shell case has some scratches and some sticker stuff on it from being in the garage. selling only because i'm about to buy another rod and reel set. Vtg Fenwick FF108 9' 5-1/8 oz. Fly Rod Feralite Fly Rod + Aluminum Tube& Sock Fenwick FF108 9' 5-1/8 oz. AFTMA fly line no. 10, FERALITE fly rod with flannel sock and correctly marked, Fenwick paper label) aluminum tube. Overall length of each section is 55 inches. Condition is very, very good. Very little evidence of use. Some minor scratches if you look hard enough. Where the ferrule fits together it is smooth from the fit. It appears to have a slight curve(set? in the tip section. If you hold the rod with the line guides up there is slight dip at the tip. If you hold the rod with the line guides down as it would be used, then it's straight. Do they manufacture them this way? I tried to show this in the third photo. The aluminum rod tube did its job of protecting this rod, as it has scrapes, scratches, dirt and grime from ... morestorage and/or transporting. No damage, just use. Cap has long ago lost its chain that attached it to the tube. The rod number, FF108) is etched into the rod tube in two places, the cap and the neck near the cap. The original owners name is also etched into the tube and cap. Please view all the photos and e-mail any questions you may have. I try and let my photos show actual condition of the item. Be cautious of light glare or flash glare in photos. Please read the small print below photos. Small print may save big headaches. Fenwick Boron X, 8' 6", 6 wt, 2 pc. Fly Rod
You are considering a used Fenwick Boron X. 8' 6" fly rod. This rod has some wear and condition issues but it is useable in that the issues are all appearance related. The first issue involves the reel seat, The threads and the aluminum rings are worn and marked up but they still work. The wooden insert is old and the stain is worn off. The cork in the handle is dirty and there is one area where a piece has broken out leaving a 1/4"surface hole that is 1/8" deep. The guides are all good and the wraps are also good. The ferrule is in good shape and seems to hold well. The rod's action seems soft by today's standards. The rod diameter at any length is smaller than my other 6 wts due to the Boron. I cast the rod on my lawn and it was surprisingly capable. It felt good and distance was comparable to most other 6 wts ... moreI have used. Worst case for this rod is that you would replace the handle and reel seat. The best case would have you fishing the rod as is. I am trying to let the prospective buyers know what they are getting. If I were to keep the rod I would fish it until the reel seat gave out and then replace the handle and reel seat. The blank is fine and should last a long time as it is. The last rod of this model I saw on E-Bay sold for $185.00 but it was mint. This one isn't mint but it is recoverable to that condition if one wanted to.

Writing on rod reads- Fenwick Feralite FF109, 5oz, Serial number below the Eagle Logo is a low number-E30512, which puts this rod manufactured around 1964. This rod looks like it was never used, all eyes are nice and tight wraps. This is why I will call this rod MINT condition for its age, great for Salmon and Steelhead. Cloth bag is also in excellent condition and the rod tube has very little wear and I also will call that in excellent condition. Vintage Fenwick FF80 8' 4 OZ. AFTMA Fly Line No. 7-8 Fly Rod Feralite Vintage Fenwick FF80 8 foot 7/8 weight Feralite fly rod. Plus rod sock and marked rod tube. The best I can figure out from the serial number, rod was manufactured mid to late 60's, 1967-68? Rod is used but it's in very good condition, has a few small scratches from use, most of them are between the cork handle and the first line guide. Hard to photograph but the second photo below here is my best attempt. Comes complete with rod sock and a Fenwick labeled aluminum tube. Tube did its job of protecting this fine rod. Tube has plenty of storage and transportation marks on the full length. No dents or breaks just use. Paper label is intact but model number and weight are slowly wearing away. Wraps, grip and reel seat are very nice- does not appear to have been fished, although I cannot say for sure. The rod tube shows its age and the plastic at the edge of the aluminum tube is slightly damaged, but can still be closed; could probably be glued- see photos. I believe this rod was manufactured in 1973. But given its age it is in excellent condition. It is a 6 ft rod that takes a 5wt line, and it weights a whopping 2 oz. The original tube is missing the snap cap, and I do not believe the sock is original. This rod is very clean with no issues. The cork is clean but has evidents that a reel has been used on it. All guides are tight and winding is secure. It goes together nice and tight. A very nice, very flexible rod for the traditional fly fisherman. Winner will pay shipping, I will pay to insure it. Vintage 2 piece Fenwick FF85 fly rod. 8' 6" long, 4 1/8 oz. Aftma fly line no. 8, it's a Feralite no. K37521' dates it around 1970-1971) made in the USA, has a small piece of cork missing in the handle but nothing serious, features a 7" cork handle, aluminum reel seat with the Fenwick Eagle engraved on it, has 1 stripping guide on the lower section and 1 stripping guide + 7 guides and tip on the top section, all wraps,butt cap,reel seat, guides and fiberglass are in great condition and original. Super nice vintage Fenwick FF 806 3 1/8 oz.fly rod. 2 stripper guides.8' two piece rod. AFTMA 6 line. R 238839. Some glare in the photos.But the rod has shiny guides,wraps and nice cork handle as shown The label is coming unstitched on the sock and the label has fallen off the cork handle as shown. The rod was well taken care of.Very little fished and it shows. The tube is also excellent cosmetic condition as is the sock. Sweet rod to fish or add to a collection.
