This auction is for a used Perrine#92 fly box with flies(16 fly/jigs and 3 frogs) Wouldn't go so far as calling this"vintage" But I've had it for nearly 30 years. Have not taken it out of the tackle box in over 20 years! This one is sold as-is. There is some slight wear to the brushed aluminum case, and some small dents on the back side. Does not effect the open, closing and sturdiness of the case. Closes tight and stays closed. I used to enjoy fly fishing, but haven't had the time in many years. 1950s Vintage Fly Fishing Flies Haywood Co. Denver Colorado in Boxes
For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this rare find.flies from the Haywood Manufacturing Co. of Denver Colorado. This iconic company didnt last very long and any items from them are very hard to find. Even living in Denver I think I have only ever seen one reel before and never any flies. About the only things you find on line are occasional magazine ads of their line of fishing equipment. They were around post WWII until about the mid 1950s. Anyway. Here are two boxes of Haywood Flies. Note the prominent logo and the neat graphics on the undercard. In the first are four No. 14 mosquito flies and the box is marked that. The second box is marked No. 12 Royal Coachman Tail and it has four of those as well 12 other size 12 flies that are a mixed lot. Most of the flies are snelled. None of the flies has been fished. Vintage Trenton Aluminum Fly Box W/ Flies I purchased this old Trenton aluminum fly box from an estate sale. It is in good working condition with just some minor scratches and small ding on the top. The springs inside are good and strong to hold the secondary aluminum covers. There are 9 flies inside you can see in the close-ups. This box measures 6-1/4" x 3-1/4" x 1" in size.
