The lot contains 2 nice large flies with feathers A plastic bottle of about 6 or so tiny flies that really look like bugs A jar of Pflueger’s Dry Fly Oil No. 879 A stick of Ferrule Cement. I don’t know it it has anything to do with Fly Fishing but I’m putting it with this lot. A little 1’ x 2’ aluminum box that says Autoknips III on it and has 6 small flies in it. The flies look like they were hand tied, the box has a dent in the top. A brown case with 6 flies in it. The flies have lost there hair and look like hooks wraped with string now, The case snaps shut and looks like it might have been made for a pair of glasses but holds the flies nicely. Fishing Flies And Fly Tying by Bill Blades HB 1979 Facsimile ed.
First Edition Hardback. 1979 Facsimile edition. This is not the original, but it still one of the seminal books on fly tying. Bill Blades was a master, and was agreat teacher as well. A book worth owning. Please be aware that this book has been owned by an avid fly tyer and cigar smoker. And the books are stored where the cigars are smoked. So keep that in mind as you bid. My friends who borrow books say that the smell wears off in about a week. And you can read them in comfort at that time. They usually read them in dis-comfort before then. The grading is severe, I would rather you be surprised that the book is higher quality than you expected, than reverse. All are used books- I bought them to use. Not abuse, but to use.

VINTAGE FLY FISHING WALLET 1930S with FLIES other ACCESSORIES RARE HAND EMBOSSED
Up for auction is a nice hand tooled leather fly fishermans wallet. Hand-made flies, and accessories. The leather is soft and pliable, and both front snaps work properly. It has 8 pages to hold flies in. Also, there are more than 30 handmade flies, a few of which are in the original packages, a bunch of line weights and a few leaders. Some of the flies are still on the original cards(made in Tacoma Washington by Bentz Fly& Tackle Co. You get all items in the photos. It came out of an estate in Southern California. In addition to being an avid fisherman, the former owner was a retired US Air Force Colonel and former US ambassador to Norway after the end of WWII. This would be a terrific piece for an avid fly fisherman! I also have other vintage fishing equipment from his estate listed in separate auctions. This is a"TRYLON" brand.FLY HOOK ASSORTMENT"These look like they've never been used at all.Three are missing from the colection.There are 21 and the box says there should be 24.They are in a nice Balsa wood box with cork to hold the flies and they are labled for types of flies,there are stains on the label but look worse in the pictures than they actually are and it still has the original price tag from Thrifty Drug Stores.These would be nice in any collection and are priced right since it is an incomplete set.I've described these the best I can,any questions feel free to ask.
