VERY cool old metal Fly Rod! Very nice older steel rod for the collector. This is a long close to 8 feet when pulled apart. The old fly rod is about 3 feet 2 1/2" when together. It extends into three sect ions the handle. A mid piece and the upper piece. It contains only three guides all in goo d shape. The paint is worn off alot of the steel and not sure if it's made of Brass or Steel but sure the old flyrod collector will know. The old fishing rod has all the eyes and may be a rare Bristol Rod? 3 vintage fly fishing rods. All are still very solid. Overall good condition. But some show more wear then others. Wright& McGill Eagle Claw Sweetheart. No. SW300. 8'6" 6-7 line. This rod is in the best condition of the 3. There is some small paint chips up the rod. Shakespeare Wonderod No. 1444. 7'9" There is some electrical tape toward the top the the rod. I am guessing it broke. Just figured I would leave it like we received it. Kodiak Fiberglass 3300. 8 1/2' marked. But measures around 8' Must have been repaired. I would say this rod shows the most wear of the 3, but nothing out of the ordinary for a vintage rod. Delivery confirmation included in shipping and handling cost! Pair of Vintage Fly Fishing Rods. Both have nice action and can be used: 8' Fly Fishing rod. Decal is bad, looks like MOH WK. Used condtion, eyelets in tact, I think it is bamboo or some light wood. Cork handle. Usable Rod 7 1/2 Fly Fishing Rod. True is the only word I can make out on it, think it is a True kraft or True Temper, the closest eye has the thread coming undone, wear on plastic cap, eyelets intact but shows sign of rust on some of them. Used Vintage Model 81 USA Martin Auto FLY FISHING Reel for Fiberglass Rods-VGC RED Martin Model 81Auto Fly Fish reel Mohawk New York This red painted Martin automatic fly reel harkens to an age when fiberglass rods ruled. From the overall looks and condition. I don't think this has been used much. Cosmetically it has 99% of paint, yet there seems to be some minor scratching or grime on the silver crank up dial. The line is older, but as new condition would pair nicely with an older model glass rod. The reel measures 3" diameter x 1 7/8" wide. And at 10.2 ounces(with line) it should balance out any vintage heavier glass or bamboo fly rod.

I have up for auction Two(2) Vintage Bamboo 3 pc. fishing rods. They both are in need of repair. Their are some windings. Guides and ferrules missing between the two. I have included a lot of pictures and they go in order from right to left on both. I will be starting the bid for the two at a really low price. I am sure between the two poles one good one can emerge with the right guy. They are nice to look at and maybe they will fit into your decor after all they are probably 80- 100 years old or maybe older. If you are a fly fisherman or fisherman I am sure you will find them interesting and a good investment either for spare parts along with making a complete one or just for parts. For your consideration I am listing three nice fishing rods. Two fly rods and one Heddon Pal spin cast two piece rod. One of the fly rods is a nice old Shakespeare Wonderod fiberglass fly rod that is 8'6" long. This rod has most of it's original label. This rod has all it's original eyelets and eyelet wrappings. There has been one small rapair on the cork of the handle. The other fly rod is just gorgeous. It is 9' long and it has an unusual handle. Most of the label is missing and I do not know the maker. Offered without reserve is a group of 4 Old Split Bamboo Fly Rods from an estate. These were all stored in the old worn cloth bag shown. All will require work to get them back to useable condition. 2 of the rods have labels affixed near the grips, one may read Pioneer? the other may read Montague? or something close(the label has wear and it tough to read) All together there are 14 sections, the thin strings that hold the eyes have unraveled on many of the eyes and some of the eyes are now missing. I know that some people know how to repair these, they will all require various attention. 2 of the thin"end tip sections" are broken off at the points and 2 look complete with an eye at the end. Antique 19th Century bamboo or wood fly/fishing rods
Set of 6 antique fishing rods. Probably 19th or early 20th Century. A couple might be even earlier. Not sure if these were used for fly fishing. Trolling, etc. YOU be the judge. This group contains three rods that appear to be matching in design and construction. They have brass pointed finials on one end and a tapered or beveled end on the other. There are two other rods that have similar characteristics to each other having a silver mount on one end and similar line guides. There is a 6th rod that has no guides and has a round tenon on one end and the other end appears to have been broken. There are parts missing. Dirt and filth, and one area of mouse damage. Fishing Rod Building Wrapping Lathe Fly Rods, Spinning Surf Boat Casting Rods
This auction is for a Professional level Rod Builders Lathe and Power Wrapper. I don't know what make it is. There are no marks anywhere on it to indicate the maker. That being said I must emphasize that this is a very well made professional grade piece of equipment. The lathe chuck is adjustable and can be removed to allow different chuck or faceplate to be mounted. The motor runs smoothly and all parts function well. Please look closely, what you see is what you get. I don't know what all the parts do and if everything is complete. The second set of ways(with the thread tensioner) has two additional mounting attachment stanchions that appear to be missing something: most likely accessory components( perhaps additional thread tensioners for doing multiple color wraps or woven patterns) This machine is complete as far as having everything ... morenecessary to build all but the most complex wrapped rod. The overall length of each section is 48" long. Condition is good and works perfectly. There is a bit of surface rust on chuck( which works smoothly) and numerous drip spots of laquer on the lathe ways. You will need a new drive belt( a large"O" Ring works well. Tho motor runs real well but I don't know what the gearing speeds are since I have never used this machine. The Motor is a Dayton(Granger) and is marked 5000 rpm which seem a bit fast to me. You may want to gear this down or replace it with a slower motor. For shipping purposes I will dismantle it so it will fit in the smallest box possible to keep shipping cost down.
