LOT of three Quality 9 weight sink tip floating fly lines and one 3 wt line
I took these high quality fly lines off of my Charlton reels recently. The lines have not been fished however I cannot recall exactly what make they are. At the time the very best floating saltwater lines with a sink tip that money could buy were put on the spools. I hate to just throw them away so I am putting them here on Ebay hoping someone can benefit from them. They are in EXCELLENT condition and have a lot more life to offer. One of them for sure is a Jim Teeny sink tip floating line- it is orange and black and I believe the T-300. The red and black is a RIO line and I cannot recall the maker of the tan line. ALL THREE are for a 9 weight rod weight. I am also throwing in a clear 3 wt floating fly line as well.

RARE! William Mills & Son Deer Fat Tin ~ Bamboo Fly Rod/Silk Line Lube/Floatant
I've owned this super rare William Mills& Son Deer Fat Tin for over a decade and I've never ever seen another tin with deer fat. I found references in my vintage tackle catalogs from William Mills and Son as well as Hardy's but I've only seen one other tin by Hardy online and that is it! I've seen rare Meek Reel oil bottles go for over $500 and I've seen about a dozen of those so this item has got to be far more scarce than those bottles. Since this item was considered a consumable. I suppose most fishermen tossed these tins after a few years so there's very few in existence. Underside of the tin below. Deer fat was used since the 1890's as silk fly line floatant and as bamboo rod ferrule lubricant. I imagine they'd also use it on their dry flies in a pinch as well. My 1934 Hardy's Catalogue charged ... more10d for a tin and"For lubricating rod joints. and there was no mention of Cerolene. VINTAGE HARDYS FLY FISHING LINE DRYER AND RARE VINTAGE BRASS FLY LINE DRYER
You are bidding on firstly a Hardy of Alnwick fly line dryer. It is in perfect working order and a collectable for any Hardy lover and avid fly fisherman. The Hardy name is stamped as shown in the photo's in two seperate place. The inscription closest to the wheel read' MADE BY HARDY BROS LTD. ALNWICK ENGLAND' and the inscription at the lower end of the handle' HARDY'S REGo, UNIVERSAL FITTING. The second Fly line dryer has no makers mark on it that I could find. The only markings on it read'patent applied for' and I think this is a rather rare find. Although it's all blackened, I can see from the wear on it that the handle is made of wood, some of the parts are brass underneath the paint and further towards the wheel another kind of metal. The little rotating handle is brass with a little wooden knob, not disimilar ... moreto the old knobs found on early reels. I would say the blackened effect is the original finish but deep down I think this would look amazing stripped back to its base colours, exposing the wood, brass etc. I've started these two items at a low price and always happy to answer any questions. It is in very used but very usable condition. Has some minor dings and character flaws but has only been exposed to fresh water. Simple gears work as they should and the drag seems as smooth as new to me. One Fenwick vintage fiberglass FF756 71/2 foot Fly Rod. It is designed for 6 weight line. The info on the rod blank is as follows; FF756 7 1/2' 3 1/4 oz. AFTMA Fly LIne No. 6, L 38022) Twist on-twist off, Feralite, lube with paraffin, Made in USA. Rod has all the typical minor scrapes but guides appear in great shape and the cork handle looks fantastic. For it's age, this rod looks nice and believe me, it fishes great. Up for sale is a Master Sidewinder 8ft. 5wt. Model SW80 Fly Rod With Dot Line Adjustable Aluminum Rod Tube. This fly Rod is in good condition and shows signs of normal use. The end of the reel seat is missing the inset cap and the finish around the top of the cork handle where the rod goes in is missing. I have shown this in the last two pictures. The rod is a 8 ft. Masters Sidewinder 5wt. graphite fly rod. I have tried this rod and it is just a little stiff for me but it does load up well and is fun for small mouth bass creek fishing and trout fishing with micro jigs. The Weber Dot Line adjustable aluminum rod tube shows signs of use with scuffs and scratches but is still in good condition and serves the purpose of protecting the rod well. It adjusts from 40" to 72" This is a nice set and is ready to be taken fishing. They say ... morepictures are worth a thousand words. Gently Pre-Owned. This Rod and Reel Combo was given to my fiance by a local"old timer" while he was working on a job at this guys house. They are both vintage. The bamboo rod is marked"T.K.W. and although I did research this, I didn't find anything about it. I would think given that, it would make this a rather rare and unique rod. The reel however, is a Heddon 320. It is a Daisy Model with the parts having been made in JAPAN and assembled in the USA, and does come with line on it, and it is in working condition. This rod/reel combo comes as shown, there is no carrying case/bag for it. There are, however, what I would suppose are extra rod(top) pieces, as there are 5 pieces to this all together. It's really a beautiful rod, and is in overall very good vintage/antique condition, the only real noticeable is shown in the ... morephotos.
