The reel is set up for a left retrieve, but the reel can be switched to a right hand retrieve. This rod, reel and line originally cost about $250. I am the original owner. This is a Johnson brand. Pack-in type, Fly rod and reel. This combination came from an estate sale here in western Oregon. This rod/reel is in very good condition. The rod breaks down into six short fifteen and one half inch(15 1/2) sections. Put together the rod is 6' 6" long. The reel is loaded with yellow fly line with a leader attached. It appears to be the original fly line. The reel operates freely with no sticking or dragging. This rod is probly about 20 yr. old. This rod& reel is in very good condition. It appears it was probly used once then left in the closet. There are no visable scratches or blemishes on the rod or reel. The foam handle is clean with no chips. Nicks, or cuts. This rod& reel combo has been stored in a closet in a bedroom for pretty much all its life. I did use a soft paint brush to brush off the"closet ... moredust" This rod& reel would be great to carry on pack in trips in the high country or stuck in your day pack on a long hike. Tioga/Teton#4 Fly Reel Spools I have 2 Tioga/Teton Fly Reel SPOOLS ONLY for#4 reels(see pictures for#4 stamped on spools) I love these old Tiogas but fish saltwater and use 8 weight and 11 weights so I don't use reels this small. I acquired them as part of a set of Tioga reels and parts I purchased. They both have backing and line on them. The backing is in good condition and I don't know what line is on them but it appears to be a high quality shooting head system on both. There were several RIO lines in the box of stuff. Vintage Silk Fly Line Level 6wt
Thinning out my stuff and have more of these than I need. As in the photo the line diameter is.045 thousands which makes it a Level 6wt line according to a table I have. Dress it with a little Mucilin and take it fishing. On level lines I use Torenzio silk leaders. You can purchase them online for a very reasonable price. I am selling my Orvis Superfine Touch rod and Orvis CFO 1 reel. The rod has been used no more than three times and is in like new condition. It is the full flex and comes with the Orvis tube and sock as seen in the picture. The sock has a tag for your name and information and it is not written on. All stickers are intact on the rod case and it is in great condition. The reel is also in like new condition with no nicks or scratches of any kind. It is lined with backing and a weight forward#3 floating line. This is as close to factory new as you can get at a much better price. This is a ready to fish setup. Echo Solo Fly Fishing Rod + Reel + Line 9' 4wt Combo
This reliable rig was purchased a little over a year ago for both personal and guide use. I no longer need it and although used. Is not abused. No major wear. We're talking both rod and reel as well as a Cortland precision WF#4 Floating line(one of my favorite lines) I am leaving the factory loop on however I'd suggest a fresh nailknot+butt section be added. The reel is the 4/5 model. The rod comes with the tube and sock. It's ready to fish! No need to spend tons of money on fly fishing. I'd call it a solid and quality all-around trout/panfish etc. rig and by a reputable company. The action is not super fast but certainly not slow. Great for dries actually. You will note the close-ups showing some spots of wear. These are the worst you will find and most of the rig is clean. The rod is in very good condition.

This rod has only been on two occasions. It was cast into a lake once and into a stream once-never on lawn. Total of about 15 min. I am a light line trout fisherman who thought that bass fishing would happen if I bought a bigger rod. Well. I just don't pick the rod up. I fish a z-axis 3wt 9' and love it. Mostly I am in 3 wt fishing situations. I just keep fishing small streams, and there are enough of them around to keep me busy. If you are looking for one of the best fast action rods ever. Here it it is. And it's pretty, too. The reel seat is up-locking and has a traditional wooden spacer. So many rod companies now put reel seats that look like something from Buck Rogers rather than something you want to look at while you're on a trout stream. I'm including the fly line that I used for 15 min. As well. It is Rio Grande ... more6 wt. WF. It is perfectly balanced for this rod. It is basically top of the line, brand new fly line. It goes for over $70. The rod was $600+ new, and it has only been used twice. This would be a gnarly Western rod. Light steelhead rod, heavy nymphing rod, urban carp rod, float tube rod, and windy day rod. I have so many fishing situations in mind where this is a perfect rod. Now I have to part with it in order to focus more on the close-by creeks. The color is a classy olive green with gold thread wraps. It is a pleasure to have. May it find a good home. You are bidding on a Fenwick Fly Rod. This Fly Rod has never been used. I have had this Fly Rod for 25-30 years and never used it. The only wear on this rod is taking it in and out of the rod holder. The white lettering on the side of the rod is hard to read. It looks like the writing says 8 1/4' I measured the rod tip to end and it measured 8'3" This is a two piece rod. The line weight is a 7. The writing on the side is not clear but I had it confimed at the local fishing shop. Good luck. Even though I marked used. This item has never been used.

Please see pics. However, this is a workhorse of a reel and is mechanically excellent. Included is the original box with original reel pouch. Pouch is in excellent condition. Box nearly so. Also included is backing and a fly line. I don't know what weight the fly line is. Probably an 8 floating. Instructions/parts list sheet also included. I am not sure but I believe this reel is currently around $500 new. I am not sure how old this is but the serial number is U469. Anti-reverse means the handle does not spin when a fish is taking out line. With most fly reels. This is a great graphite fly rod and reel set that I bought at Orvis as a demo a few years back and to this day I have never had a chance to use it! My loss is your gain. This is an 4 weight rod which measures 8.6 feet. 2 ¾ ounces and is a mid-flex. Everything is like new including the Redington RS2 ¾ reel which have new backing, line and tippet on it.
