All wraps, guides, ferrules, handle and cork there and in very good condition. Has its rod bag and tube also in good condition. Here's a very nice Conolon Fly Fishing Rod. Trout-Bass Action. This rod was made in the early 50's before Garcia acquired Conolon. Shakespeare was the first to offer tubular fiberglass rod's after WWII and Conolon was a close second. Silaflex actually head-hunted workers from Conolon to start their business. Rod has its original hang tag with just a small corner missing see pictures. Rod bag has two small holes and its dirty but has done its job protecting this fine rod. Rod looks hardly used and well cared for. I have not fished this rod but ... morehave lawn cast it. I think this reel is American. Because the way it is put together suggests ca. WWI American manufacturing processes; however, the form of the reel is English. American manufacturers did copy English reels(Witness the L.W. Holmes copy of a Perfect, and the W.McG. copy of a Princess) Make up your own mind on this point. Anyhow, the reel has a strong, loud constant click, is in near perfect condition, is loaded with small diameter silk line, and will display beautifully, or nicely complement a 3 to 5 weight bamboo rod on the stream. Goodwin Granger 8642 ( 8 1/2') Special fly rod. 3/2 for 5/6 wt. line
This rod is structurally in great shape and ready to fish. Cane is straight. Varnish is smooth and unchipped, ferrules'pop' just the way they are supposed to, reel seat works smoothly. Problems are the 3/4' short tip, ridging on grip and discoloration of some wraps. If you're looking for the Granger experience without spending a fortune, this rod is a deal. It is also a candidate for refinishing. A light sanding and coat of varnish would probably have it looking like new. Or you might want to re-wrap the guides and ferrules to make it look even better. Either way this is a rod that deserves more steam time than I can give it. Tube is a new, good quality aluminum tube. The bag is correct, but I doubt if it's original.it's in too good shape to be that old.

Here is a gently used Orvis Battenkill Disc 3/ 4 fly fishing reel. MADE IN ENGLAND. Can be set up for Right or Left hand retrieve. And is easily swapped over(currently set up for right hand retrieve) Has ok condition Orvis Spring Creek DT-4-F(dual taper 4 weight floating) line on it. I've not used it in a while, so it may need replacing. Also has a leader, but probably should be replaced. Very clean, a few very small light scratches but no major marks or dings. Some very light scratches on the foot where it seats on the rod, see pic. Reel has always been stored with the disc drag set in the lowest position. Drag works fine. G Loomis Venture 7 fly reel used but never used(never even attached to rod) loaded with 200 yds backing and Scientific Anglers shooting head fly line. I purchased this reel new and later had the fly line installed at fly shop. I am not totally sure the line weight the seven. It is a shooting head line with 4 different"head" lengths of line. Installed on the reel is the WFF head. Included in S/A wallet are; moderate sink(2.5-4.0 i.p.s. Fast sink(4.0-7.5 i.p.s. and slow sink(1.3-2.0i.p.s. I had initially bought this reel for river bass and steelhead fishing, but have never used it. There are absolutely no scratches or marks on the reel and the fly line has never touched the water.
