HMY Fly Tying Vise
This is a one owner. Slightly used, HMH fly tying vise. It turns out, my manual dexterity isn't that great. I figure I'll sell this vise and buy flies that actually look the way they're supposed to with the money. It is an HMH vise, and it either is, or is equivalent to, the Spartan on the HMH website. Essentially it's an entry level vise. I believe I paid $180 for it a couple of years ago from the Ted Fay Fly Shop in Dunsmuir. Up for bid is a very nice vintage Fly Tying Kit by Regal.This kit contains a fly tying vise.Tying tools copper and tinsel wrapping,dry fly dressing,fly head cement,hooks and a lot of tying feathers still in their packages. I feel back in its day it was a starter kit for beginners.I tried the vise on the end of a table and put a hook in the jaws. Both the table clamp and the hook clamp fit snugly. CONDITION ISSUES-The box has a stain and shelf wear-There is no instructiion book.Neither of these issues affect the operation of the tools and materials inside the box. This lot includes a used Renzetti traveler vise on a pedestal. I recently cleaned this vise up and replaced the band. Ball bearings and spring in the head. I tied a few dozen flies on it and it is working great. There is some miscellaneous packs of new tying materials. 8 packs of new Umpqua/Tiemco hooks. 3) packs of 206BL#20 barbless(75 hooks) 1) TMC5262#16(25 hooks) The Umpqua U-Series say quantity 50, but are mislabeled. These packs appear to have about 10 hooks per pack. size 8,12,18,20. There is 15 spools of thread that appear to be unused. The tools include 2 pair of used Dr. Slick scissors, 3 hair stackers, tweezers, hair packer, whip finish, bobbin, bodkin and more. This is a great lot with ... moreno reserve.
