Vintage Fly Tying Vise Sunrise India Stainless Vise, Cast Iron Base Fishing Tool
I've had this vise for about 35 years and never used it. It is in excellent condition with no damage or defects. The head and upright shaft are stainless and the base is cast iron. There is an adjustment clamp on top of the base that allows the head to be positioned in a 360 degree rotation and also adjusts the height. This clamp has a threaded hand screw into the base to hold the upright and head in position. The shaft reads Sunrise India. The rectangular base measures 4 X 5-1/2 inches. This item stands about 7-1/2 inches tall when the shaft is at the highest point. There are four holes in the base to allow it to be permanently attached to a work surface. The top side of the cast iron is textured for appearance. I pack my items well as you can see by checking my feedback. Up For Sale: VERY Hard to Find Fly Tying Vise from Ari't Hart(ATH) including accessoiries. This Vise is in Excellent Condition and I seriously doubt if it's ever been used. None the less I have looked at all the components very carefully and found a few minor flaws: In the spotlight there is 1 clip broken and a small dent in the spotlight as well(picture 9) A couple of fine scratches on the Magnifying glass. Impossible to photograph sorry On the side of the plate that states ATH a couple of light imperfections The magnifying glass is hard to lock and I don't dare to turn the screw any harder with the risk of damaging. This auction is for a used but very well constructed fly tying vise. I've never been able to determine what brand this vise is but the construction is superb. The only marking I could find is the letter"I" on top of the clamp assembly. This would make a great little vise to tie your favorite trout and other species of fish patterned nymph. Thompson low profile Fly Tying Vise
This is a low profile Thompson vise(not sure if it came that way or was adapted) With little ware(a couple spots that can be seen in photos) Jaws are in very good shape and easy to adjust. I got it with what looks to be an extra set of jaws for different size hooks. I am 99% sure it works with this vise but I have not tested. I am sure if you do not like the low profile you could get a replacement shaft. Also note that the c-clam height adjustment screw is missing. RENZETTI TRAVELLER fly tying vise in good condition. The Renzetti Traveller is a classic rotary vise with jaws adjustable over a very wide range of hook sizes and gapes. At one time. This vise was stored with some salt preserved skins and did suffer some corrosion damage.
